NCAA Football '12

Release Date: July 12, 2011

Genre: Sports
Systems/Platforms: PS3, Xbox 360
ESRB: E for Everyone
Synopsis:
PICK YOUR PATH TO GLORY
Experience the pageantry of gameday Saturday as you go from high school superstar to top college player to head coach. With new traditions and an all-new tackling system, make an impact with NCAA Football 12.
Gameplay:
This is just another addition to the NCAA Football franchise so you wouldn't expect anything different from last year to this year. Well that's where you are wrong. The gameplay seems like nothing is wrong so far. Zone coverage actually works now, as a receiver passes through a zone the defenders pass the receiver on to the next zone. The controls are easy to pick up as long as you know what your controller looks like. They improved Road to Glory. In RTG you can now play an entire High School season instead of just the championship game. They also added the ability to play Ironman football which is where you play both sides of the ball, offense and defense. The graphics are pretty good in HD and in standard definition.
Rating:
I give it 9/10 just because some of the CPU receivers don't attempt to catch the ball like a normal person would. It seems like the made the AI just smart enough to run the route and sometimes catch the ball. Sure it makes being a QB in Road to Glory a little bit more fun cause you have to sometimes pull a comeback but still it gets annoying.

It's you against your friends!
Experience a new way of playing driven by social competition.
Gameplay:
You start out this game having basic civilian cars to race with. Then, you unlock more and more exotic cars that most people only see on the internet. Like the Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Reventon, and many more. This game has amazing graphics, pretty good reaction time for a racing game, and features a unique sound track as it features many styles of music. One downside to this game is that it gets very repetitive as the cop. There are parts in the game to where the only missions for the cop are "Rapid Response" or "Preview" where you are just trying to get the best time possible with a really fast car. On the other hand when this happens you can just switch over to racer challenges and you should get some refreshing races in before you want to go back to the cop missions. Another great part about this game is that there are tons of missions! Like there is at least 20 hours of gameplay in this campaign unless you get gold on every race on your first try. The controls are very easy; (these are xbox 360 controls) right trigger to go, left trigger to brake, 'X' for handbrake, and 'A' for nitrous.

Rating:
I would have to give this game a 6/10 just because of the repetitiveness of the game. This rating can vary between player because you may love racing games but this game just get pretty boring. It was awarded for many things but I can't say that this is one of the best games I have ever seen.

Bioshock 2
Game info:
Release Date: February 9, 2010.
Developers: 2k Marin, 2k Australia, 2k China, Digital Extremes, Arkane Studios, Darkside Game Studios.
Synopsis:[Wikipedia]
The game is set in the fictional underwater dystopia of Rapture, in a biopunk/dieselpunk 1968, eight years after the events of BioShock. The protagonist and player-controlled character is a Big Daddy, a being that has had its organs and skin grafted into an atmospheric diving suit. Among the first of its kind, the player-controlled Big Daddy, named Subject Delta, reactivates with no recollection of the past decade's events, and scours the city in an attempt to relocate the Little Sister that he was paired with. Fearing this reunion will ruin her plans for the city, Sofia Lamb sends out her spliced up followers that she calls The Rapture Family and new Big Sisters in an attempt to dispose of Delta.
Gameplay:
Bioshock 2 is a FPS,and you play the role of the Delta series "Big Daddy". You have one clear objective, to stop Sofia Lamb from corrupting your little sister. You get a variety of weapons and attacks to do so. There are mini bosses within the "Big Sisters" that Sofia Lamb sends to stop your quest. The game also offers many good or bad choices that you must make which will alter the outcome of the game.
Multiplayer:
The overall multiplayer of Bioshock 2 is very fun. There are a wide variety of gametypes from Survival of the Fittest(a FFA gamemode) to Turf War (a domination/demolition mix). The gameplay is similiar to Call of Duty 2, in terms of damage that weapons and melees do.
Rating:
Overall, BioShock 2 is a great game. It is my personal favorite Xbox 360 game. It has a great mix of action, strategy, and a few scary situations. The graphics are great, and the engine allows many interesting ways to dispose of your enemies. I think BioShock 2 deserves a

Gameplay
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] has very unique gameplay, I seriously think that nobody has ever created a game similar to Minecraft. It has extremely fun gameplay, with the choice to play on various difficulty levels such as:
Hard- Enemies will deal much more damage than Normal mode, Creepers wont stop attacking you unless there is a large distance between you and the monster.
Normal- Monsters will deal the normal amount of damage.
Easy- Enemies deal much less damage than Hard and Normal, Creepers will stop attacking you if you move a short distance away from them.
Peaceful- No monsters spawn, but there is an exception of Wolves and Slimes.
In the game, you can collect materials to help you build a shelter, which is vital for night time, because as it gets dark, the monsters attack. You can create various items and objects using the resources around you.For example, two sticks and three pieces of wood can create a wooden pick axe.

Worlds
Worlds, this is what makes the game so unique Once you purchase the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] version of the game, you can generate a world which is COMPLETELY RANDOM and matches no other world ever made in Minecraft. It gives you random resources and land structures But of course there is an option which allows you to type a code and itll generate a map depending on that. There is also a video where the creator of Minecraft, Notch shows a randomly generated Minecraft world being 8 times the size of our planet Earth.

Graphics
Your first thoughts on this game probably wouldve been these graphics stink! but trust me, the game-play makes up for EVERYTHING. There are options to use Fast or Fancy graphics. There are even options to add a custom texture pack which can completely re-do the graphics of the whole gamegiving it a nice touch and making it look much better than the Minecraft original texture pack.
World Design
In your very own randomly generated world, you are allowed to design it in anyway, you have no restrictions but ofcourse our laws of physicsCreate castles, mansions or just a plain old shack. Create dungeons, caves and anything you want. In Minecraft you are completely free!

Minecraft Conclusion
In conclusion, I would like to say that Minecraft is a great game, the game play is wonderful. Its a very unique game which you dont find nowadays, with all the WoW clonesId say that you try this game out and if you like it, purchase it. Alternatively you can play [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] but it doesnt include anything that you can get in the purchasable version of Minecraft.

Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon
Like the last game, Earth Defense Force 2017, Insect Armageddon is a third-person shooter. You take control of a member of the Earth Defense Force, fighting the good fight for humanity against an alien threat known as the Ravagers. You don't know much about them, except that they're set on destroying the earth and it's up to a few lowly humans to turn them into pulp. It's a campy set-up, but it works perfectly to provide a setting where giant ants, spiders, wasps and towering robots are the norm on the battlefield. It also results in some really terribly awesome dialogue between the characters, with one liners and quips that make it obvious Insect Armageddon doesn't take itself or its plot all that seriously.
It may not have the best graphics or story, but the fun, mindless shooting is where Insect Armageddon shines. Every mission generally has the same objective, with you moving from point to point and fighting absurd enemies until they're all dead. There's something thrilling about fighting hordes of giant enemies over and over. Like a cheesy sci-fi flick, insect Armageddon owns its absurdity, challenging you to use crazy-powerful weapons to overcome odds that are laughably stacked against you. It isn't the sort of game I want all the time, but it's a welcome break to all the far-too-serious shooters out there.
The core gameplay of blasting away hordes of enemies is the same, but the addition of classes mixes things up quite a bit. Before each level you pick a class. Each class can always carry two weapons, but they range in the amount of health and special powers they have. The assault trooper has a large amount of health and a shield, for instance, while the jet trooper has the ability to fly and move fast, but a relatively tiny amount of health. It brings a lot of additional replayability to the levels, and makes cooperative play more fun since you and your friends can further specialize your roles in the fight. The only downside to it, though, is that most weapons in the game are now unlocked with experience rather than through random item drops. Yes, there are some random items in Insect Armageddon, but a big part of the last game's appeal to me was the excitement I got at finding random loot. It's still here, just greatly depreciated.
The campaign is made up of 15 fairly short levels, and can be completed in a day if you're determined. But before you lament, consider the fact that there are three levels of difficulty, and that each class levels up independently of the others as you play. Completing the campaign once also unlocks remixes of the stages, which switch things up just enough with the enemy types to keep it interesting. The grind might sound annoying, and normally I'd agree, but the gameplay is just such pure, mindless fun that I find myself wanting to play through it more than once. Besides, higher difficulties are the only way to unlock even more powerful weapons.
Like most things, Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon is better with friends. If you want to team up with just one buddy in person you can jump into Insect Armageddon's local split-screen cooperative mode. Additionally, it allows three players to group together online through the entire campaign, as well as play with a team of six in the new Survival Mode. Cranking up the difficulty and overcoming a fight against giant robots and aliens brings people together in a way that few other games I've played can. It's just ridiculous enough for no one to take too seriously, and for everyone to just laugh about and enjoy.
Yes, this is as cool as it looks.
The biggest downside to Insect Armageddon's budget game status is its performance issues. You can expect it to slow down considerably in a few places while playing alone, but split-screen or multiplayer results in fairly regular issues. I expected this after the frame-rate drops of the last EDF, and it's certainly not unplayable, but it can be frustrating at some points. It isn't exactly the best looking game, but I guess this is part of the price we pay for having swarms of enemies, big explosions, and collapsing buildings all on the screen at once.
Ratings
7.0 Presentation
The menus are serviceable, but the fonts and hud are unsurprisingly generic looking.
6.5 Graphics
It isn't an amazing looking game, but the bland environments and repetitive enemies help push the cheesy sci-fi flick feel.
7.0 Sound
Great one-liners and decent voice acting keep things light. The music and sound effects are just OK, though.
8.0 Gameplay
It's a fun game by yourself, and even better with friends. This simple shooter is just pure, unadulterated fun.
8.0 Lasting Appeal
If you like it there's plenty to do, and lots of reasons to replay the campaign over and over.
Overall 7.5

Fans may have realized that their expectations had been somewhat off the mark when the first Saints Row 3 images and details surfaced, depicting a very different look and style than past games.
Since then the developers have explained that fans will, indeed, be in for a very different experience this holiday season.
Apparently the new focus on running a criminal organization with some flash and class isnt the only thing that fans will be surprised to see, and THQ and Volitions recent projects may shed some light on other changes we may see.
Eurogamer spoke with Volition Studio Manager Eric Barker about the games development, which the team is still keeping quiet. When asked if Saints Row: The Third would be using the same physics and deformation elements of Volitions other upcoming title, Red
Faction: Armageddon, Barker wouldnt confirm or deny it.
So while we are left wondering if The Third will allow us to blast Steeltown to bits, Barker did reveal that fans still have a few announcements to look forward to:
I cant talk too much about Saints just yetYouve got some fantastic surprises ahead. The game looks fantastic. Its wonderful. Everybodys really excited about it.
Whether the fantastic surprises are just video of gameplay or more details on the physics, it looks like Volition is approaching the third installment of the Saints Row series with renewed enthusiasm, which can only mean better things for the finished game.
The Executive Vice-President of THQ Core Games,
Danny Bilson tweeted last month that they would be making a HUGE announcement in the second week of March, with plenty of content to go along with it. At the time we assumed it would be an official announcement of Saints Row 3, but now it seems more likely that well soon be receiving our first extensive look at Johnny Gats latest adventure.
What do you hope to see next from Saints Row? A new design, style, characters, environments? More importantly, what is it about the franchise that you think is still relevant to todays games?
Whatever is revealed next, well bring you all of the juicy details. Hopefully then well have a better idea of what to expect from Saints Row: The Third, releasing this holiday season.

Weapons
With its roots in gang warfare, the Saints Row series has always had a healthy selection of weaponry - pistols, SMGs, assault rifles, grenades...all of the genre standards. In addition to these traditional guns, some wackier tools of destruction like the chainsaw, satchel charge, sledgehammer, samurai sword, and a giant foam pimp hand have been available to players. Plenty of bloodshed happened thanks to the weapons weve already seen in the Saints Row series, but theyre nothing compared to what youll have access to in Saints Row: The Third.
Air Strike
Steelports three gangs will oftentimes become engaged in flashpoints, which see the gangsters coming together and partaking in some shady business. During our time at Volition, we saw a large group of Luchadores in a parking lot as they guarded palettes of drugs. Charging in with an AK and grenades might work if youre skilled enough, but why risk it? With this laser-guided air strike, you can demolish large groups of enemies without directly engaging them. Simply use a laser to indicate where you want ground zero to be, and the area will soon be showered in what appears to be a napalm carpet bomb. What was once an intimidating collection of Luchadores turned into a bunch of scarred corpses with one of these strikes.
Predator Drone
Painting a target with a laser is a nice option, but why use that if you can personally drive an explosive package right into your enemy? Activating the drone will change the perspective to a top-down view similar to the AC-130 level in Modern Warfare. Standard bombs can be dropped with one trigger, while the other will release a smart bomb that you can precisely guide with the analog sticks. Destroying a high-value target with a standard bomb is a lot of fun, but its even better when youre closing in on a vehicle from the perspective of a bomb youre controlling.
RC Gun
Both the predator drone and air strike allow you to rain death from above, but this handy new weapon allows you to attack from the ground while still staying out of harms way. By shooting out an electronic bug, you can assume control of virtually any vehicle you see (it will initially control cars, but you can upgrade it to take over tanks and air vehicles). Once the bug is attached, you can drive the vehicle around just as you would if you were in the drivers seat. You could take over a rival gangs car and run over a few cops if you want to get them in some quick trouble, or fill a truck with explosives and send it into enemy territory if youd like to deliver a bomb on wheels.

Upgrades
It was possible to upgrade some aspects of your weapons in Saints Row 2, but these bonuses were always tied to specific activities. Saints Row: The Third is going a different route, by offering a proper levelling system that opens up new perks and bonuses for purchase as you become more powerful. A standard shotgun can turn into the three-barreled Gravedigger if you have the cash, and assault rifles can receive scopes and grenade launchers. By upgrading weapons how you see fit, youll have much more say this time around when it comes to building your desired arsenal.
Sex Toy Bat
While its by no means the most subtle weapon in your arsenal, this floppy phallus packs a mean punch when used as a melee weapon. The top of this sex toy seems to have a mind of its own, wobbling around in a disturbing display of physics. Give a grandma a swift swing with this bat and youll witness a splash of blood and a body slamming against the pavement. It cant feel good to get knocked out by the sex toy bat, but we think the insult may be worse than the injury in this case.
Sex toy bats and air strikes certainly won't be all you'll have at your disposal, as Volition hinted at several more ridiculous tools of destruction in Saints Row: The Third. We won't spoil any surprises here, but the more sadistic gamers will have plenty to look forward to when the game launches this holiday season.
The player controls the leader of the Third Street Saints. The game world is the fictional city of Steelport, and the story centers around the conflict that arises between the Saints and The Syndicate, an international criminal group who have taken over the Saints' former home of Stilwater.

Plot
Years after taking Stilwater for their own, the Third Street Saints have evolved from street gang to household brand name, with Saints sneakers, Saints energy drinks and Johnny Gat bobble head dolls all available at a store near you. The Saints are kings of Stilwater, but their celebrity status has not gone unnoticed. The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute.Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to a new city, playing out the most outlandish gameplay scenarios ever seen in Saints Row: The Third, the third chapter in the blockbuster open-city action series. Strap it on.
The Third continues the story of the 3rd Street Saints gang developed in the previous two games. Having defeated the rival gangs of Stilwater at the end of Saints Row 2 and overthrown the influence of the Ultor corporation on the city services, the Saints have found themselves with free control of the city. They target a bank, attempting to airlift the vault out of it, but the plan goes awry, and the Saints are incarcerated. In prison, they come to learn that a powerful international crime agency called the Syndicate, led by Phillipe Loren, has taken over many of the banks (including the one the Saints struck) and bribed the Stilwater police force. Loren smuggles the Saints' leader (the player-character), Johnny Gat, and Shaundi out of jail onto his private jet, and while in-flight, tells them they will be allowed to live if they turn over two-thirds of their gangs. The leader of the Saints rejects this offer, and a gunfight breaks out; ultimately, the player-character, Gat, and Shaundi all fall out the cargo hold of the plane, safely recovering parachutes, and lands safely.
With the Syndicate in full control of Stilwater, the Saints relocate themselves to the city of Steelport. Steelport is a city that was created as factories flourished with little city planning, and since has suffered from economic failure, contrasting the glamour of Stilwater. The Syndicate has already begun to take control of some parts of Steelport, focusing on vices like gambling and prostitution. To extend their reach, the Syndicate had divided their control of the city through three gangs. The Morning Star, lead by Loren directly, are typically European men with impeccable taste, selling guns and handling the prostitution rings. The Mexican wrestler Killbane controls the Luchadores who deal with selling drugs and gambling. The Deckers, led by hacktivist Matt Miller, are computer geniuses, and handle the money laundering. The Saints see the opportunity to wrest control of Steelport from these groups, and engage them to start to take control of the downtrodden city. As the gang war intensifies, a fourth group, the Special Tactical Anti-Gang (STAG) units from the government will attempt to halt any gang activity whether it be the Saints or the Syndicate.
In previous Saints Row games, the player would be able to approach each of the three rival gangs along separate storylines that ultimately culminated into a final conclusion. In The Third, the storylines between the three gangs are interconnected, and decisions that the player makes in dealing with one faction may alter the behavior of the other factors towards the player or missions that may be available later.

Gameplay
The Third retains the blend of third-person action and driving sequences in open world, urban warfare format that is traditional in the Saints Row series. The player, as the leader of the Third Street Saints, can explore the city of Steelport, performing main missions that progress the game's story, and side missions. These side missions include Activities, mini-games played on the streets of Steelport, Strongholds, rival gang bases that can be taken over to control a section of Steelport, and Flashpoints, on-the-spot gang warfare. Successful completion of missions can earn the player in-game money, weapons, cars, and gang respect. Unlike the previous games where respect was used to unlock new missions, The Third uses respect similar to experience points which the player can then spend to improve specific attributes of their character, such as melee combat or firearms skills. Money can be used to purchase clothing items, weapons and cars, or may be used to upgrade weapons and cars with unique features, such as adding scopes or extra barrels to a weapon, which then can be stored in the Saints' arsenal. Money can also be used to upgrade the Saints gang, customizing their appearance, outfits, and headquarters. Within The Third, the player can set up to four different appearance styles for their gang. Finally, money is also used to purchase shops and other properties within Steelport, which in turn will become a steady stream of incoming for the gang over time.
While completing some missions, the player may be given a choice of options to finalize the mission. For example, they may opt to destroy a rival gang's boat, including the prostitutes aboard, or instead capture it, and sending the prostitutes to the Saints' headquarters to boost the gang's morale. In another case, the player has the option of using a gigantic bomb to demolish one of the skyscrappers in the city; though they will gain a great deal of respect for the action, it will alter the city's skyline for the rest of the game and cause non-player characters to react differently to the Saints, while leaving the building standing allows it to be used as a headquarters for the Saints. New Activities, optional missions that can gain the player money and respect, include "Professor Genki's Super Ethical Reality Climax", a game show that combines the ideas of The Running Man and Japanese game shows, Tank Mayhem where players are tasked with taking out high value targets using a tank, and Guardian Angel, where the player must drive around the city while a tiger is in the backseat of the car.
In addition to the regular arsenal of tradition and novel weapons, players will gain the ability to call down airstrikes on encamped enemies, or to use an remote control electric bug to control other vehicles such as for remotely delivering a car full of explosives to an enemies hideout. Unlike the first two games, there are no health recovery items in favor of improving the grenade throwing system; in exchange, the player's health will regenerate at a faster rate as long as they stay out of the line of fire. Nearly all actions in the game can be sped up by holding down a second controller button, dubbed by Volition as the "awesome button"; for example, when carjacking, holding down this button will cause the player-character to missile-kick the driver out of the seat in short order.
In addition to the single-player mode, the game can be played co-operatively with at least one other player. As in Saints Row 2, the second player can participate in all missions and activities, earning credit for their completion. Certain activities provide different rules when a second player is present; for example, in the Guardian Angel activity, the second player will have to control the tiger in the backseat while the first player drives. Because of their focus on the single player and co-operative experience, Volition has removed competitive multiplayer from the title.

Activities
Professor Genkis Super Ethical Reality Climax
Volition had us sold on this one from their very first description - The Running Man meets the craziest Japanese game show youve ever seen. Like the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, this show pits several sociopaths against each other in a fight to the death. Weapon drops and fire traps ensure bloodshed, and the hyperactive Japanese announcers will be jabbering away throughout. Expect onscreen graphics like Japanese text and oddities similar to Mortal Kombat IIs Toasty guy as you murder the competition.
Tank Mayhem
The idea of an infinite-ammo, kill-everything-that-moves minigame in an open world crime game has been around since the birth of a genre. While Saints Row has featured similar Mayhem missions in past games, theyve revolved around property damage. Because of this, rounds of this activity quickly devolved into sprinting around and hunting for fences to destroy. Saints Row: The Third wants to make things a bit more exciting, so Tank Mayhem places you in a tank instead of behind the sights of an assault rifle or RPG launcher. Various high-value targets will appear while youre going all Goldeneye on the city, including a parade of strippers. Send a shell their
way or get them tangled in your treads, and youll be raking in the cash and respect.
Guardian Angel
Your buddy Angel hates the Syndicate just as much as you do, and he wants to make sure youre tough enough to take them on. In this activity, he forces you to drive a car around while a tiger sits in the backseat. Get into a fender bender or run into a stop sign, and hell start mauling you. Its a definite test of your driving ability, but a co-op partner can sit in the backseat and try to tame the tiger if things get too tough.
Tying Guardian Angel into the war on the Syndicate is part of a more broad goal to make Saints Row: The Third a more cohesive experience. Activities in previous installments were often random and had no ties to the narrative. This time around, youll be rewarded with destroying Syndicate-owned property in activities like Tank Mayhem. Even the goofier ones like Insurance Fraud and Guardian Angel are billed as training exercises to toughen your character up so hes ready to wage war on the crime ring. It doesnt make the activities any less over-the-top or insane, but it does remind players what the overall goal of Saints Row: The Third is.

Characters
Phillipe Loren: Phillipe Loren is the leader of the Syndicate, in particular the gang called the Morning Star, says Steve Jaros, lead writer of Saints Row: The Third. Hes kind of like a Bond villain. Hes statuesque and poised and elegant, and hes a total gentleman. Hes not a fophes not effeminateand hes not going to play to that European stereotype. Hes coldly logical and dangerous and very savvy
KillBane: The wrestling-masked Luchadores are one of the more flamboyant criminal organizations in Steelport, so its only appropriate that the gang is led by someone equally peculiar. Killbane is a former professional wrestler who also founded the Luchadors with his tag-team partner, Angel. Killbane became jealous of his partners success, which led him to publicly unmask and shame his former friend. Eventually, Killbane was banished to Mexico after he killed an opponent in the ring. That exile didnt last, and the grappler is back and running his group.
Matt Miller: Matt Miller is the Syndicates go-to guy for those instances. As leader of the Deckers, Miller (no relation) is in charge of the citys cybercrime. As with a lot of folks bolstered by the anonymity of the Internet, Miller is all swagger when hes at his keyboard. Take him out of his element, and its another story. The thing thats interesting about him is that when hes by himself he thinks that hes god, says Steve Jaros, the games lead writer. Hes super cocky and kind of obnoxious and is very self-assured in what he does. However, when hes around Killbane or Phillipe, hes like a 15-year-old kid sitting at the big kid table.
Zimos:After being rescued by the player, the temporarily gimp-suited Zimos becomes an important ally. His ties to the criminal underworld are critical in the players early days in Steelport, and hes a great guide to the city. In general, hes kind of like the lovable granddad of the Saints, says lead writer Steve Jaros. Hes too old to care, he has a lot of swagger. Pretty much hes seen it all, hes done it all, and hes too cool to be scared or offended.
In addition to the role of de facto tour guide, Zimos provides plenty of comic relief. He has had a tracheotomy, though that hasnt stopped him from smoking through the subsequent hole in his throat. He speaks using an electronic voice box, which has been autotuned. In other words, everything he says sounds like it was plucked from a T-Pain song. Stay classy, Saints Row.

Thanks but this is IGN - we only use original work.
Again thanks, but this is taken from multiple sources (not original work) and we don't do threads with multiple games.
Keep trying guys!

AGreenCrayon wrote Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon

Since then the developers have explained that fans will, indeed, be in for a very different experience this holiday season.
Apparently the new focus on running a criminal organization with some flash and class isnt the only thing that fans will be surprised to see, and THQ and Volitions recent projects may shed some light on other changes we may see.

Plot: [From Wikipedia]
At the end of Saints Row, the protagonist was aboard Alderman Richard Hughes' luxury yacht when a bomb exploded on the yacht leaving the fates of Hughes and The Protagonist (Player Character) unknown. In Saint's Row 2, it is revealed that Hughes was killed and The Protagonist was put into a coma. Five years pass and the Protagonist awakes in a prison hospital ward and received extensive plastic surgery. The protagonist meets inmate Carlos Mendoza and the pair escape the island and return to the protagonist's home city Stilwater, rebuilt by the Ultor Corporation after a devastating earthquake that left parts of the city below sea-level. The Protagonist then rescues friend Johnny Gat from a courtroom proceeding, enlists the help of Johnny's friends Pierce and Shaundi and begins to rebuild the divided Third Street Saints gang. The protagonist, referred to as the Boss, leads the Saints on a quest to retake the city. The main storyline is divided into three separate story mission arcs, completable at any time and in any order.
In one story arc, the Boss and Carlos meet with Maero, leader of the Brotherhood of Stilwater, and becomes enraged at Maero's offer of a 20/80 split of an unknown shipment between the Saints and the Brotherhood. This sparks a feud between the Saints and the Brotherhood, and after shaking up mechanic and Brotherhood member Donnie, a former Westside Roller, the Boss burns Maero's face by poisoning his tattoo ink with radioactive waste. The Brotherhood retaliate by kidnapping and brutally torturing Carlos by dragging him behind a truck, forcing the Boss to kill him. The Boss exacts revenge by kidnapping Maero's girlfriend Jessica, and arranges for her to be inadvertently killed by Maero in a monster truck rally. After interrogating and crippling Maero's tattoo artist, Matt, the Boss begins to uncover information about a large weapons shipment. Maero confronts Dane Vogel (voice of Jay Mohr), CEO of the Ultor Corporation, demanding the release of arrested Brotherhood members. Although freed, the prisoners are intercepted by the Boss and when an enraged Maero threatens Vogel, he is informed that Vogel will seize the weapons shipment. The Boss intercepts the shipment and launches an attack on the crippled Brotherhood's Hideout. Near the end of the battle, Matt is killed but Maero and Donnie escape. Maero then challenges the Boss to a final face-off, but loses the fight and is shot in the head by the Boss.
In another story arc, Shaundi begins to gather information on the Sons of Samedi gang, and learns of their illegal drug trade. The Saints then target various assets in the production of the 'Loa Dust' drug. Gang leaders The General and Mr. Sunshine order lieutenant Veteran Child to kill Shaundi, his former girlfiend. Although he succeeds in kidnapping her, the Boss kills him and saves her. The General then kidnaps the Boss and orders an attack on the Saints, but the Boss escapes and the Saints are able to hold off the attack. Through tips from an addict, the Boss uncovers Mr. Sunshine's hiding place, a meat-packing plant, and the Boss kills him there. The Saints then co-ordinate an attack on the General's convoy and kill him as he flees.
As Johnny and Pierce assist the Boss to take down the Ronin gang in a story arc, they decide to rob a Ronin owned casino. However, they end up stealing money from Ultor, who are under Ronin protection, and Vogel demands that action be taken against the Saints. Leader Shogo Akuji orders an attack on Johnny and his girlfriend, retired R'n'B singer Aisha, the result is Aisha sacrificing her own life to warn Gat of an ambush. Shogo's father and international Ronin leader Kazuo Akuji arrives in Stilwater and after Jyunichi is killed in a face-off with the protagonist, disgraces his son and shows regret at giving him power over the Ronin. At Aisha's funeral, Shogo attacks Johnny and the Boss but is buried alive after being captured. Kazuo threatens the Boss' longtime friend and leader of the Triads gang, Mr. Wong. Kazuo is killed by the Boss during a Chinese New Year's celebration after being defeated in a swordfight.
In the aftermath, Dane Vogel uses the Saints' overthrow of the city to stage a coup d'tat within Ultor, tricking the Boss into killing the rest of the board. However, when Vogel attempts to take control of Ultor, the Saints stage an assassination attempt at a press conference. After fleeing to safety in the Philips Building, Vogel is met face-to-face by the Boss, and he/she shoots him in the mouth, killing him instantly, crippling the Ultor Corporation and ensuring the city under the Saints' control. Wiretap conversations reveal that of the surviving members of the old Saints, Dex Jackson took up a job offer with Ultor, and that former Saints' leader Julius Little planted the bomb from the original game's climax hoping to kill the Boss and let the Saints dissolve, through threats from undercover cop Troy Bradshaw. A mission becomes available and the Boss contacts Dex, who tells the Boss to meet him at the old Saints' church. Upon arrival, the Boss finds Julius, who was also told by Dex to meet there. The two are ambushed by the Ultor Masako Team and are forced to flee. Julius and the Boss drive around the city while being chased by Ultor Masako APCs, until they crash in the Amphitheater. The Boss then shoots Julius in the chest. Shocked, Julius explains that the Saints never solved a thing, having become the same as the gangs they had been fighting. The Boss then takes revenge by shooting Julius in the head.
Single Player:
You are the leader of The Third Street Saints and you must take back a city that was once yours. This Saints Row takes place a few years after Saints Row: 1. There are now 3 new gangs that have overrun your city, and you will have to continuously fight them throughout the whole campaign. The gangs are; The Ronin, The Brotherhood and The Sons of Samdie. When ever you complete a mission, you will take back one part of your city you once owned.
Activities: By doing activities, you will earn respect, better load-outs for your character, money, unlimited sprint, unlimited ammo, and more. All this will give you an edge when facing the gangs.
Multiplayer:
Online Co-Op:
Co-Op is where you and your mate team up and do the Single Player campaign together. This will make things easier for you. Extra fire power, more fun.
Multiplayer Online:
I don't think much about the Online on this game. I would say it's better doing Co-Op. You have your normal TDM and Deathmatch, and a game mode which is called Strong arm. This is where two teams come together doing activities like: Insurance fraud, Demolition Derby, Hitman and Races. You can get perks by spraying each of the 4 Spay Tags around the map. You can get longer lasting print, double money when killing the opposing team mates and more health. The first team to $100,000 wins.
Money is everything in Multiplayer as it is used as XP.
Gameplay:
Brilliant game play, especially when you are playing with a friend on Co-Op mode. You can drive boats, cars and bikes, and even fly planes and helicopter which have guns and rockets equipped on them. When you feel like jumping from a big height, you can do it safely; as you will always have a parachute on you. You can customize your bikes and cars, and even your player. You can change your player's gender, voice and the entire body. You can buy house and even customize them.
Graphics:
The graphics are a bit bad, and are not up to the GTA standards. If you would like to see the graphics for yourself; go to YouTube and search for Saints Row 2.

Release Date: Xbox 360: 27th July 2011
Microsoft Windows: 17th August 2011
Playstation 3: Mid 2011
Developed: Ubisoft Montpellier
Cost: 1200 Microsoft Points
Genre: God Game/Sandbox
Platform: Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Playstation 3
Age Restrictions: Pegi 12
Synopsis
" A Modern God-Game where Nature is the Star."
From Dust is the latest original game concept by Eric Chahi, creator of the cult classic, Another World / Out of this World.
Immerse yourself in a world as exotically beautiful as it is dangerous! You control the destiny of a primitive tribe against the backdrop of a world in constant evolution, a universe where mighty Nature reclaims what is hers; and your mastery of the elements is your peoples only chance of survival...
Plot
From Dust puts you in control of a "God" known as the Breath, whos job is to protect and help a nomadic tribe. This tribe is searching for clues and memories of their ancestors. You have to help the tribe build villages in each mission, and then get the tribe to leave via a portal-esque device.

Gameplay
When you play as, "The Breath", you have the power to manipulate 3 substances, sand, water, and lava. The Player picks up these in a ball, and then deposits them wherever they want. Unlike water and sand, when lava is deposited it forms a solid substance. While playing, many environmental changes occur, these include tsunami's, volcano eruptions, floods, changes in the tide, and fires. You have to protect the tribe from these. Occasional, the player has the option to use special powers, these include jellifying water, infinite earth, evaporation, and put out fire. The controls are easy to grasp, and there are not any glitches I have found.

Graphics
The graphics in the game are stunning, everything is clear, sharp, realistic, and suits the game. Everything also runs very smoothly. They are also better then I expect for most arcade games. They are probably better then most full games.

My Opinion
From Dust is a very good game, it is fun, addictive, and will provide plenty of game time. It is very easy to use, but does require alot of puzzle solving towards the end of the game. I have enjoyed it alot since I bought it, and would recommend to anyone who enjoys games which aren't linear. Its a very good game, and well worth the price.
