The fourth General Discussion section debate. Rules are the same as the previous, but for new people here they are:

  • Do not flame others for their opinions.
  • Thumbs up or thumbs down other users posts if you agree or disagree respectively.
  • DO NOT QUOTE OTHER POSTS, If you wish to reply to someone please use the "@" symbol followed by their username.

A rep reward for the highest ratio of positive thumbs so again, voice your opinion, on their opinion.

So the question of the day: Does the future of gaming look good?

So with that being the question, here are MY arguments

Yes and no.

Yes, it looks amazing however with all the various health hazards, lawsuits, mononpolies (call of duty dominating the FPS genre would be an example), and this 3D business it can look murky however.

It doesn't

If companies keep pumping out games every year they won't be good.

Just re-prints.

It looks good.

The kinect has introduced completely controller less gaming. Also graphics are getting better by using atoms instead of polygons to make objects.

I also agree with you there!

Yes, it looks good. With the graphics and updated gaming engines etc.

Although, I think it's become too fancy, too much technology. I want to go back to the days of GTA: Vice City etc.

But I guess my final answer would have to be, yes.

I honestly think in the future they won't be as good because they are gonna run out of Ideas if they keep releasing so many games at a time.

No if they make the same games over and over with different names.

Eventually they will be real movement only no controller no nothing.

Amazing i cant wait.

Its going up up and away.

But call of duty and halo are done.

I'd said NO. Because all companies care about anymore is money so they are throwing games on the market every year. They don't talk time anymore and they don't make quality games. (ex. Call of Duty = Copy & Paste) I think if companies go back to taking time and completely changing games each time it will get better:)

Bottom Line: No if gaming companies continue to be greedy, Yes if they turn it around and go back to the way games used to be made.
