The Right Way to 12V Fan Mod a Xbox 360

Im tired of watching People do the 12V fan in the most rediculous ways.

For example cutting the DVD power cable and splicing the wires. This is bad because your taking power from the DVD drive and stressing the console.

Now im going to show you how to 12V fan mod the right way.

Does that mean I should be worried about my jtag? Because it has the spliced wire to the DVD power cable.
Also, would you mind posting a picture or give a description of where this is? I cant really tell from the pictures.

Yea your stressing the console by taking power from the DVD drive

i usually edit the nand and set the fans to 100% in 360 flash tool. works just like a 12v fan and no chance of shorting out and there are also a lot more spots you can solder the wires: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

im just wondering is this on the front side or the bottom side of the xbox please have a more detailed description ..im not flaming or nothin no sir. great tutorial it just takes me hours to find the solder points on diagrams haha

i think its under the board near where the fan plugs in
