It's a very cool idea but you blew up the images too large and they've lost a hell of a lot of quality. I recommend you re-do it with larger higher quality images because the idea is great!

What concept said, either go over EVERY bit or get higher quality pictures. But great idea

Thats the idea, its sega graphics, not meant to be high res, its got that retro look

Can't really have HD quality from older games.
As for the image, it likes actually really nice.

No image theory stays the same. You started with smaller images and blew them up huge which isn't the way to go. People back in the 80s knew this as well and designed their games appropriately for the graphic technology of consumers today. In other words this needs re-doing.
