Lawyers are in fact agreeing with the bill at the moment. It is being rushed to be passed, as if no one will notice.

The reason this bill wont be passed is that so many businesses and companies rely on the internet and the free flow etc.

For instance the Music Industry actually like piracy of their music because the people who listen to it often feel inclined to buy it later on. A lot of people do.

I already watched a brief documentary on this (caught the last few minutes, might go search for it again) and the bill is facing too much opposition to get passed. Besides it's cyber space, that's like controlling space itself you can't just put laws in if you don't own it.

This is ridiculous. The government is trying to hard to keep direct control of anything and everything in it's grasp. The United States government needs to learn that they cant be in control of everything and to just stop this nonsense already..

Although this is true, it took hundreds of thousands of those against Bill S.978 (a bill with a similar purpose) to stop it in its tracks. The government simply chooses to do what they feel.
