Couple of things, first. I'm not sure open headphones will be the best choice for you, especially at that price point. Bassy headphones tend to be closed, because bass takes a hit when they're open. Portable over-ear headphones are hard to come by at this price point, as well. I'll do my best, though!

Again, I'd look at the Sony XB series, namely the XB500 and XB700. They're great bang-for-your-buck cans, and they'll compliment your preferred genres very well. The XB500s run around 50 bucks and the XB700s run around 80.

If you're looking for portability, the XB series is probably not what you want, even though they're built well and will tolerate being abused. I'd take a look at the Koss Portapro. Although it's very cheap, the sound is incredible. You get a lot more than what you pay for. They're also bassy.

Since new music tends to be significantly bass-heavy, the Sony XB500s are probably the best fit for you. They're also probably the best looking full-size cans at this price point.

Back again I see!

I'd go with the Head-Direct RE0. They'll do very well for rock and all of it's many variations! I'd get them directly from Hifiman (which is Head-Direct), because people have reported bad experiences with the dealer that sells these through Amazon. Hifiman is a very reputable brand in the audio community, so don't be worried.

Sorry it took me so long to get back with some of you guys! I've been pretty busy and the requests stacked up a bit.

Another thing I've noticed. 95% of the people that I help don't communicate AT ALL afterward. At the very least, could you take the time to post a little aknowledgement? Thank the topic? Maybe leave some rep? I don't really care about rep or thanks, I just want to hear back from you! Do you like them? Have you had a good experience with them? Do you need any more help

I want to hear from you!

I can't believe you people still insist on doing this.

What does it say in the topic? GET advice here. It doesn't say GIVE advice here. Also, you're advice is garbage. You clearly know nothing about headphones, so leave this to the people that do, namely me.

If you need further clarification, read the OP. I've covered this.
