Brainwavz M2 if you want IEMs, Koss Portapro if you want on-ear, and the Grad0 SR60i if you want over-ear. I know the Grados are $20 over budget, but they are AMAZING for rock and the bang-for-your-buck is there too. I'd definitely pay the extra cash for these!

Ragnarock wrote Hey by any chance would you know what the best cable for audio would be for a computer? Like the cable that connects from your computer to your Monitor. My computer doesnt have an HDMI outlet so im currently using a DVI cable for video, but i need a better cable for audio.

If you can help, thanks.

Sounds like you just need a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male cable. Monoprice has the best value out there. I guarantee you that you won't notice a difference between a crap cable and a 4N shielded silver cable using monitor speakers. The MP cables are also surprisingly good!

Thanks! I just don't exactly know how to do that, or really care to. It gets bumped so regularly!

Grados! They are hands down THE best headphones for rock. They've got a model for every price range, and they are infamous for making new audiophiles! They are on-ear and leak sound in and out, but it's worth it. They're extremely simple inside and out, so it's just you and the driver. They're really light, built well, and comfortable.

If you want some closed headphones, the Koss DJ100 is the best bang-for-your-buck at that budget otherwise.

also some headphones that look pretty good too. not like the boring silver/gray/black design. something that looks pretty flashy or has a cool design. good sound quality and cool design/colors. sorry if im being too picky.
