I tried 2 different patches

When I boot using default_mp.xex it gives me a disc unreadable error right away

sounds like u have a bad default_mp.xex. try to find a different one and replace it.

just to make sure, you have a modified code_post also, right?
What is a modified code_post? and thanks for the help

you need a code_post_gfx_mp.ff that has been patched to allow the fast restart. that could be your problem. can't really think of anything else.

Yea the problem is you messed up when you edited it. The best solution is to start from scratch and re-add or edit what is needed. It's so hard to find your mistakes.

Do you have TU6 in there, and try downloading default_mp.xex again, and download a diffrent patch, and don't edit it.

editing the patch wouldn't cause this problem. you'd be able to load up to the map loading screen, then most likely get a syntex or unknown function error. those could both be easily fixed through .ff viewer though.

only real option left is to try a different default_mp.xex.
