He is English around by me they say mam alot (I am also English) that's how I can tell so he means 300 which is worth about $470.

This is mine it's a little out of your budget but either ask your mum if you can have this one or just ask her for money at christmas and save up for this.
It's a really good laptop i don't use it to much just for uni and stuff as i have a awesome desktop however it can play Minecraft at highest settings, Garry's Mod, Counter Strike Source and a bunch of other stuff.
thats the exact laptop i have from the exact same place i got it from ... you stalking me?

I have the HP Pavilion G6, it's perfect. Decent RAM, good processor.
Not sure about your budget but their only about 350-400
