I have a question. Between the Beats Studios and the Audio Technica ATH-M50s, which headphone has more powerful bass and overall better sound quality?

Budget: 150 dollars

Music preference: dubstep (want bass)

M50 is better for both. The Studios may have more mid-bass, but they lack sub-bass (0-30 kHz) entirely, which is just ridiculous. and the bass is of higher quality on the M50. The M50 has better sound quality.

Not to mention the M50 is less than half the price of the Studios, doesn't use batteries, is built better, has more features, I can go on.

Budget: $100 (under 50 would be good though)

There are a lot of options for you, JUST above your budget. They all come in at ~$180, but it's definitely worth paying a little extra! If you can't, just let me know.

The Monster Turbine Pro Gold is what I would pick if you're after bass (based on some recently acquired knowledge).

Other great options are the Vsonic GR07, the Future Sonics Atrio MG7, the UE Triple-Fi 10, and the Klipsch Image X10.

The reason I was asking is because i had solo hd beats that I now regret buying and if i could get way better sound quality at half the price, i don't see why i should stick with these. The sound quality was very poor on the beats which shocked me considering how popular they are. Once again thank you very much for your help.

Save your money and get the Brainwavz M2, which cost around $50 last time I checked. Incredible for the price, built well, awesome looking, and they'll handle your music very well!
