The differences between headphones are actually astounding considering the only materials used to make the actual speaker are a neodymium magnet, plastic, and a thin circle of mylar. That mylar can make or break the sound of a headphone. There's also enclosure, which is dumb science stuff most people don't care about. The people that claim they can't hear the difference between different headphones aren't trying hard enough. Playing an instrument tends to help too because you can better appreciate the nuances nice headphones convey since your ear is probably trained better (knowing if you're sharp or flat). I know you're probably trolling, but for the rest of the skeptics, there you go.

1yoyo105 wroter00t_b33r wroteThe amp is the one that came with my Trittons.1yoyo105 wroter00t_b33r wroteThanks for the info. But here's my problem. I have a amp but it only supports 6 pin mini din. I have been looking everywhere for a "6 pin mini din male to female 3.5 mm aux-out" cable but it has proven a pain to find it. Think you know where I can find one? Or if it's possible to rig one up myself with a few supplies? I attached a beautiful illustration I did in paint to show you my problem.1yoyo105 wrote Quick question. What would you think in comparison of a pair of Sennheiser HD 448s vs. any pair of Beats?
The 448s need to be amped, ruling them out for most people. There are better options for the price, though. The other options can't really be compared to any of the decent-sounding Beats (Studio, Pro) since they're, well, 50 bucks. They destroy Solos, and can easily compete with the Studios. The Pros are not that much better than Studios.

Found the right jack on Markertek for 6 bucks. I could make an adapter to anything, really. See the bottom of the OP if you're interested in me making a cable. Although you might be able to use a sort of adapter chain to get what you want. Ick.
That's a very interesting amp to be using with headphones, though.
I believe they made it that socket to avoid what I am trying to do right now. Also can you link me to the jack on Markertek please?

I see no reason to keep using that amp, though. It's clearly garbage quality and you may not even need to use an amp!

Headphones never cease to amaze me. I can't wait to see what comes after the Stax SR-009 and LCD-3 (bass).
People that claim not to hear the difference are lying. I've found this to be true 100% of the time. Sometimes they come up and tell you days later. Others it's the body language. Sometimes it's their actions (selling theirs). That or they have compacted earwax.

Sorry to be so general, all I want are some cheap, yet good gaming headsets.

From what people are saying, the Panasonic RP-HTF600-S is quite good for gaming on a budget.
Bed time for me now. Be back tomorrow.

Do you wear headphones wherever you go? I've never understood headphones as a viable fashion accessory. Anyway, those Ultrasones I posted would garner much more attention than Beats. Since Beats are common as dirt, there's really little reason to show them off. Nothing special.
"Wow, what are those awesome shiny headphones that guy is wearing over there?"
Nope but at the airport, or on the plane, or at starbucks, you get attention.

At Starbucks? I don't want a bunch of self-absorbed Mac children fawning all over my headphones. Nor do I want people looking at me in an airport. I'll go with understated if possible. I just don't get the people who buy things for attention. There's a personality disorder for that.

There are a lot of options for you, JUST above your budget. They all come in at ~$180, but it's definitely worth paying a little extra! If you can't, just let me know.
The Monster Turbine Pro Gold is what I would pick if you're after bass (based on some recently acquired knowledge).
Other great options are the Vsonic GR07, the Future Sonics Atrio MG7, the UE Triple-Fi 10, and the Klipsch Image X10.
Guess I'm getting the Monster Turbines, thanks
