Did I fix your problem?
Whoops, haven't seen this post, well really since my ipod froze up completely where it wouldn't unfreeze at all. So I completely restore my Ipod and had to upgrade to 4.0.2. Luckily I saved my SHSH blobs and reverted to 4.0.1 and is happy again. In short terms, no it didn't fix the problem.
