It'd have been fun to have a pair of those to be completely frank. $170 is robbery, but a legit pair for $50 wouldn't be the end of the world.

I thought about getting the Rezound as a much-needed upgrade (or so I thought) from my aging Incredible and selling the iBeats, but then I would have this "b" logo on my phone and their junk "Beats Audio" software on my stock ROM. Never. Ever. Also, my friends like to talk to me about Beats because they think it makes me mad. If I even let a pair in my house or sported a logo, I'd never hear the end of it. They say I talk about them all the time, but I'm never the one to bring it up!

Great phone, though, if I weren't "boycotting" the new HTC/Beats union. I go out of my way to fight bad business practices! Not that it matters...

Yeah that's a bit of a problem...if only AKG did something like that. It'd probably help save them from the inevitable death they'll face.

What makes you think they'll die out? Is it the growth of garbage yet popular headphones? I think the current headphone craze is in it's infancy and will mature. People will see the more compelling options, and hopefully go for them in the near future. I just don't think AKG users will switch to overmarketed trash.

The day I pack my bags for Mars is the day Beats/HTC invades the recording industry. All hope is gone for technological and musical advancement at that point. I'd rather make my own music! *Imagining myself on Mars, farming in my Geodome and playing music.* Maybe I'll just go now. See you guys!

I think my posts get less sane as I grow more tired.

It's not the popularity of other headphones, it's just that lately, they're really sucking. They promise an upgraded K702, they give us a green K702. They promise a K1000 successor, they give us a $1000 IEM. They show us the K550, a closed headphone that's potentially awesome, they delay it like 5 times and it apparently doesn't sound much better than the K271. They may not be on the way out, but ever since they were bought out by Harman, things haven't been the same. They had the most awesome ideas of their time just looking at the K240 Sextett, K4, K340, K290 Surround, K40X/50X, and K1000. When you look at those then look at their current lineup, it's hard to not think of them as suckish.

I doubt that Beats will invade the recording industry as long as we have a few competent engineers, I hope.

I really wish I could be going to bed now too. Too bad I've been working on history for the better part of 7 hours.

I have not been following new developments closely enough.

I just wrapped up a full-length AP French test... For homework (no thanks to the internet). Another gets assigned tomorrow. *BIG sigh* That was a painful 3.5 hours, not including other stuff. If only headphones could be homework.

Seems like we both need sleep. I'm off.

I can't seem to find any legitimate reviews on these, but I'm going to go ahead and say that they're not worth it. It appears to be the same kind of overpricing that the Beats have. And good god, man. They're the gaudiest things I've ever seen!

If anything, they're rebrands of other cheaper headphones that are ridiculously marked up.

Sorry, for the long reply, but I just came across these today, and I only found the reviews on the site.
