Game information;

Date of release: 26th October 2000
Developers: Free Radical Design (Now known as Crytek UK)
Publishers: Eidos
Platforms: Playstation 2
Genre: First Person Shooter
Players: 1-2 (2-4 with the 'Multitap' add-on)
Age rating: 15+
Rating: IGN's rating - 8.6/10
My rating - 10/10

Setting;

The setting of Timesplitters is based around 9 different fictional time periods between 1935 and 2035, the story follows the 18 characters individual attempts at defeating their own personal foes and the 'TimeSplitters' with whom they have sided. In each level, the player can choose from one of two characters specific to each mission which is related to whom the character is based on, and must kill enemies as they move through the level to retrieve the mission objective and then carry that object to the exit portal. After a player picks up the mission object, TimeSplitters spawn endlessly throughout the level and tend to attack the player in large groups until they reach the exit portal.

Graphics;

Well we all know Playstation 2 graphics aren't all that good but i think for a game of this caliber where a lot tends to go on within one game they are fairly good, all the characters have distinctive facial features, the guns look real enough so i'm not complaining.

My rating on graphics will be 8/10.

Challenge Mode;

This is a great mode to do once the story has been completed as you can earn more characters after the main ones have been unlocked, besides unlocking characters some of the challenges can be quite fun and challenging to do, take killing fleeing carcasses on fire with a sniper rifle within a small time limit.

Game modes;

In this mode up to four players and ten bots that can compete individually, or in up to four different teams in certain game modes. The players can set choose from characters, levels, and weapons that have been unlocked by completing story mode and challenge mode missions.

The modes are the following:
Deathmatch - The player or team with the highest score based on kills and/or deaths wins.

Bag Tag - The player or team that has possession of the bag for the longest total time during the match wins.

Capture the Bag - Players must retrieve the enemy teams' bag(s) and return them to their own base to score points.

Knockout - Players compete to collect objects in the level and return them to their own team's base.

Escort - A team attempts to protect a bot as it tries to walk to a destination in the level.

Last Stand - Players attempt to protect key destructible objects (including themselves) from the attacking bots for as long as possible.

Assault - One team must defend a base from an assaulting team. The 'base' consists of one or more points which must be captured by the opposing team. The defending team often gets gun turrets to help them defend their base which get really annoying. The offensive team usually starts with access to better guns.

Mapmaker;
One of the best features about this game is Mapmaking, there's a variety of objects and structures to choose from to make it either an endless spree of explosions or a cess pit of hell with the ability to customize every single section of the map whether its the lighting, spawning or equipment.

I check them daily guys. The two most common reasons for a review not getting published is either because it's missing sections or some/all of the sections are too short. You may go back to a review, add/modify it, then resubmit it so I can check it again. Good luck!

The Incredibles Game Review

Synopsis

The Incredibles is a video game based on the film of the same name, released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Mobile phones.

Setting

The setting on this game goes to loads of different places, as it keeps the classic games level style, insted of a free-roam world. this one of the first Action/Adventure games i had, and i thought it was brilliant also the way it used cut-scenes from the actual films was a little cheap but i really liked it, if you had watched the film, then you could get a sense of what the level was going to be like. All the levels were different to suit the characters, like if it was mr incredible the strong one, there would be loads of obsticles were you were to break/lift stuff, mrs incredible the stretchy one, there would be obsticles for her to swing on or use her stretch to break power systems. dash would have levels full of jumps and strong obsticles that he would use his super speed to jump over or aviod also the missions were time limited because it was sort of like a race when you did a superfast mission. Violet was generally the same as dash's.
Setting rating:8/10

Gameplay

The gameplay of the incredibles was really good, If you have watched the film you'll know its about superpowers, well superhero's infact. There are 4 superpowers you use it the game and that is: Super Strenth, which was great for fighting missions, you could also do a number of cool things, lke being able to throw heavy objects at people, or cars, or even helicopters, which was fun for bringing out the beast from within. Super Speed, which was my favourite and probably everyone elses, I enjoyed the way you would race through jungles, moterways, at one point your actually running on water, i mean water come on that is beast! Super Force, which was fun but didnt keep the element of being invincible like on the film, insted you had a health limit on the forcefield you had which actually disapointed me. Super Stretch, which was my second favourite power, fun for throwing grenades, people and doing spins with my arms killing everyone around me, also using it to swing from place to place, it was really fun to use.Overall id say the game was really fun to play.
Gameplay Rating:10/10

Graphics

Considering it was a game based on a film, and like all videogames were then, they were really quickly made games after the film had been out, and were usually terrible graphics wise, but it actually wasn't at the time they were pretty good in game, but the cutscenes in the game, not just took from the film were awful due to it being zoomed in so much the graphics were actually discusting, but apart from that they were fine.

Controls

The controls for this game were pretty good, nothing to complicated, was just basic controls really. Seemed like platform controls with the X to jump SQUARE to punch CIRCLE to grab or throw and Y being a special move. The controls were fun to use and i dont think they could have picked any better ones, also due to using no cars/planes/helicopters the controls wern't all over the place due to useing different equipment, luckly the whole game is on foot so no confusuion involved.

Controls Rating:7.4/10

Why did you re-post them?

I doesn't look like you edited them at all?

Yeah i know that but Dimebag said resubmit them on the condition that they were updated, which they don't look like they are.

Don't worry about it, seems like i'm not the only one trying to get 'Game Reviewer'.

I've kind of lost confidence as neither of my entries succeeded, i was planning to my third on Timesplitters 2 on the condition that it went through which it didn't.

-.-

Castle Miner Z Review

Castle Miner Z is one of the various Minecraft clones that are around these days and one of the best too. This is an indie game that can be found on Xbox Live game market place and can be bought for 240 msp. Like Minecraft the game allows you mine and create items based on the resources you earn and collect. You can also take other materials and combine them witch make new block or rare awesome props. Despite all the Minecraft clones this games seems to be the best that I have seen even better than the title "Fortress Craft" because of the different set-up, no lag, and very adictive. The graphics are good as would be expected from the 360 and controls and game mechanics are very good. Game sound is especially good and creepy when the zombies that interrupt your mining come to get you, The feeling is comparable to when you first played the game Doom. Zombies range from slow walking, to sprinters, and some that contain weapons. To add an extra challenge's you must watch out for a flying dragon who is eager to burn your body to the ground. Modes consist of online survival, single player play, or just building without enemies. This game is a must indie game for those looking for a cheaper priced Minecraft or a fix until XBL arcade's release of Minecraft. 10 out of 10 game & top download on XBL.
