They are all garbage, and I say this with confidence. Multiple drivers in full-size headphones that do not cover different parts of the spectrum make for horrible sound. Five crappy speakers don't sound anywhere nearly as good one good driver does. It doesn't work like that. They're terrible for music, and not even as good as you would think for gaming. Sennheiser HD 555s with a mic will give you much better quality for less, and at a higher budget, the AKG K701/K702 is the ultimate gaming headphone. Ultrasones also have S-Logic technology that actually works without negatively affecting sound quality. In the headphone guide, I linked an article about gaming headphones.))
What you said about that is a lie. If you get the good Gaming headets then they are amazing. Obviously you haven't spent more than $100 on a Gaming headet before. Try using everything before saying they are all garbage. Astro A40s are amazing better than all beats and other stuff.
Why would I buy a gaming headset if they suck? I know they suck because I did research on it. Reviews, comparisons, specs, etc. I say they're all garbage because they are. If you can provide me with contrary EVIDENCE (key word here), I'll acknowledge your argument. Currently you've provided no evidence, just an opinion based on... Well... Nothing. I've provided clear and well-documented evidence showing why they're bad.
You can read reviews all day like a nerd but you have to actually have the headset to give a real review so the (Key) argument here is that you haven't used all the headsets so the (Key) here is that you can't argue with me unless you have tried everything yourself. Here is what I have the astro A40s that are used in the MLG Pro Circuit which is a big thing if you knew, anyways you lost the argument since you obviously dont have anything to base on (LIKE EXPERIENCE)
Do you have any experience with the headphones we've been recommending? No? Well then you have no basis on your argument either. Moving on.
Coming from the random that obviously doesn't own a headset over $200. Grow up get a job and actually see for yourself the difference. End of story. Nuff said.
Assuming things isn't very nice.
Just gonna copy and paste this. I've finally saved this because searching for where I originally posted it was too time consuming.

Oh god, confirmed 8 year-old. Never change, TTG.
And please, please don't procreate. Please. Ever.
Also, this argumemt is now a Spiderman argument since Dragify can't handle himself like a self-respecting person and instead would rather lie and make ridiculous, baseless claims.

If you bought the DT48 for gaming, or anything other than vocals, you have absolutely no idea what you're doing. It'd be daft to buy them for anything other than vocals since they don't do anything else well, which is okay because they're audiometric headphones. They're just about the least recommendable headphones ever since they need to be heard before they can be bought.
You do realize that if I thought gaming headphones were worth buying, I'd buy one right? It's not like they're ludicrously expensive. You act like it's impossible to try one too. I'll just be a **** right now and say that I'm not interested in buying low-fi sound when I can buy something exponentially better for just a little bit more, like an AKG Q701. And I can use it for things other than gaming.

Budget: $60-$110
Music preference: Christian music (like Hillsong and Abandon), and indie music
Type / form factor and portability: Over-ear, I don't need them to be portable, these are just for listening to music at my house.
Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): Indifferent.
Source(s): iTunes on my computer, or my iPod Nano.
Also, if you could recommend a good pair of headphones for around $10-$20, that'd be nice. I plan on using the headphones in the car and at school and such.
Thanks in advance!

He clearly does not have the DT48, he's just being unreasonable and terribly immature.

For the cheap headphones, the Xeport 3010 is absolutely fantastic.
For your home headphones, the Grado SR80i will probably be best for upbeat music, but I love the AKG K240 or K271 for indie. The K240 Studio will have a more infectious sound (they're nicknamed "Funkalizers" for a reason!) and probably will be cheaper. The AKG's are also ridiculously comfy.

I'm assuming he doesn't, but to give him the benefit of the doubt, which I shouldn't, they really are terrible headphones for 90% of the music-listening population. I thought they were pretty lackluster until I'd had them for two weeks and my brain adjusted to their sound. I still think they're overhyped, but they definitely can beat out the HE500 in certain songs, which is utterly fantastic.
