I have my xbox stood upright (vertical) and it doesn't overheat or affect the gameplay, maybe that's due to the fact I have an xbox slim.

I have mine horizontal bcuz it looks like nothing will happen to it while if i had it vertical i thinks all the stuff inside will fall haha! Or cause Red Ring of Death!

I used to have it Layed down, but now i have it stood up as i dont have much space to put it...

I have mine horizontally on my desk. it is better for it because it doesn't put pressure on the Xbox.
