Tim_Burton wrote Okay so imagine a hole, straight through the earth. From where you are right now, all the way to the other side of the earth. If you were to jump inside that hole, what would happen?(If you didnt burn up in the center)
post with your opinions...

1st point: It would be impossible because you would burn up when a few miles down because of the heat, But I know what you mean.
2nd thing: I think if you could do it, when you were exactly half way, you would just stop and float because of gravity pushing from everywhere!! I know it sounds weird!

Gravity isn't a set point, an object is attracted to any large object. You would get pulled to the side of that hole, not just float in the middle.

If you didn't die, then you would fly past the center of the earth and just barely reach the top of the other side and you would keep falling back and forth this way.

Tim_Burton wroteThere would be no momentum from jumping because there's no gravity. If you were to push off of something you would because there would be nothing from stopping you (Besides objects) because there's no gravityNexuzh wroteTim_Burton wroteNexuzh wrote You'd be gravitated down to the surface of the Earth in which you were standing.. It's no opinion, it's just science.
what about the other side of the earth's gravity?
If you mean the Earth was a ring, then it wouldn't matter, if you mean you could circle around and through the hole, then it wouldn't make a difference.. In fact, the gravitational pull may be less cos the mass of the Earth would be lesser, thus you would have less gravity.
would the momentum of the first part of the gravity be enough to push you to the other side?
