It really isn't the schools fault unless there were lunch monitors standing like right next to them, now that would be a different story. But I believe that the kid should sue the other kids for assaulting him or at least do something to them.

to be honest i think he should get at least 20mil!
that may seem like a lot but think of all the things he cant do now!
he will have trouble driving, he wont be allowed to do a lot of jobs and he will be restricted in many ways!
i think 20mil will make his life extremely comfortable and that should compensate for the damage done to him

I think he deserves the money. Please think about how lucky we are to have vision. I recently got glasses, I cannot begin to tell you how much these glasses helped me. I am an AMAZING student, most of the time in my classes I could not see the board so I would guess at what was written, this was a struggle for me because I did not want to get help (that is something about me, I don't like receiving help, makes me feel greedy) But when the receptionist put my glasses on my head, it was extremely amazing! I could actually see her facial features, I seriously could not see her pimples from inches away! And on the ride back home I could not believe how beautiful the world seemed. Now thinking about losing vision in one eye, that would be horrendous. In the report it says that they already had two unsuccessful surgeries which really sucks because they still had to pay for something that was not caused by them.
