I am currently looking for a laptop to bring to college. I'm majoring in finance, and they say that a pc should be the computer you buy. I really dont have much of a spending limit saying windows ocs sell for really cheap. I'd say that $1500 is my spending limit. I want it to be as powerful as possible because i do like to play some computer games. Also it would be cool if it were one of the laptops that came with a free xbox

Have a look at the Asus Zenbook Prime Ultrabooks. 1080P IPS panels, perfect size, portability, top notch battery life, and high capacity SSD's. If you want the best durability and security in the business without compromising on the categories listed above and don't care about aesthetics what so ever, I'd max out the specifications for a ThinkPad X230 since 12.5'' would be perfect in my opinion.

If your talking about the Newegg laptop + xbox deal, pick the TOSHIBA Satellite P755-S5174 Intel Core i5 2450M(2.50GHz) 15.6" 6GB Memory 750GB HDD Intel HD Graphics Notebook. Very powerful. Plenty of memory. Good for gaming, and fast enough to keep up with school.

Intel HD graphics are the opposite of what you want for gaming.

Don't get a laptop for gaming. Split that budget down the middle and buy a Thinkpad T430 with half and a custom-built gaming desktop (by yourself of course) with the other. If you want an Xbox, you might just be better off sticking with console gaming. You're not going to college to get into PC gaming.
