Back in the day, becoming a partner was a HUGE accomplishment if you were a youtuber. Now, with all these networks, becoming a partner isn't that big of an accomplishment anymore. I wish it was still as hard as it was before. Anyone remember when people didn't care about being a partner? When we did videos for fun? Now people aren't focused on having fun, they just want 1,000 views a day to get paid.

I'm glad someone sees things the way I do. The small networks pretty much ruined what a partnership means.

I totally agree, It would be nice to have a partnership but i only want it for the bigger backgrounds. It is stupid the fact they pay you aswell:/

I do see what you mean, that is why YouTube stopped partnering as their is about 20networks who partner faster than you can jack off

I agree but at least when you do reach a partnership you get something out of it, i know thats not the point but you do.

I do videos for fun, when i do reach a partnership stage i will feel on top of the world.

When ever I do like a montage or gameplay video on my channel I just do it cuz i enjoy making a video and know that i put the time into it to make it look cool

I would only want to have one for the thumbnails. But I would actually like to EARN it, instead of getting 20 subscribers and 800 views a day.

It may be bad but they seen it as a gold mine.
More channels with partnership more revenue being generated in which they take a bit cut out of.
Yet without the money aspect youtube would not be able to survive. You need that aspect or there is no youtube anyway.
