Budget & Currency: $2000
Peripherals & Monitor: Already have all of these.
Games: Skyrim. I can already run it maxed out with many graphical mods, but I can't record. It takes too big of a hit on my FPS.
Software: Recording & editing videos, uploading them to YouTube.
Aesthetics: Zyzz
Rebates/Promos: Too lazy to send in MIR, unless it's like $40 off or more.
Details: I used to be into PC building, but I have lost my touch. I have pretty good idea of what I should be getting, but wanted to see another opinion.

Fun build. As you can see I left you a lot of wiggle room to make an upgrade where you want it or just to save. You could add more storage, step it up to an 80+ Gold power supply like the Seasonic X750 or Corsair AX750, do a custom water loop, buy another monitor, whatever you want. The 670s will destroy Skyrim without even trying and honestly it's completely overkill, but if you really just don't want to worry about performance at all, this is a great setup for the price right now. Those $30 gift cards make the 670 a better deal than the 7950! You could buy everything but say... The hard drive, and use the gift cards to order it when you get them four days later. The 2600K is a champ still, but you could side-grade to a 3770K if you want although it's more expensive. That case is, in my opinion, the best looking case you can buy right now. Change it if you want, it's your opinion, not mine!

No, I did not take you seriously. Don't worry, people don't actually do that. Funny because yesterday I did a 690 quad-SLI build!
And yeah, don't do hybrid drives. Slow SSDs and questionable HDDs. Only use them in laptops if you're compromised for space and can't have both an SSD and HDD.

They do, or should, at least. The memory used in hybrid drive SSDs is not anywhere near the quality of the memory you'd find in a separate SSD. The HDD quality is meh as well. Also, it's actually cheaper to get the 128GB 830 and the 1TB F3 separately.

We can do builds as low as $300. At that price, I recommend sticking with a console, though. It also wouldn't come with a monitor or anything, just a tower.

r00t_b33r wrotethe problem with a ssd is i don't feel like dropping 200 bucks for a 128gb drive though, that's why i think hybrids are better, also that hybrid drive has a 6gbps speed, that's pretty good to meRosarioVampire wroter00t_b33r wrote No, I did not take you seriously.
