GAMING MICE
Logitech G400
Zowie AM
Zowie EC1/EC2
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0
Microsoft Intellimouse Optical 1.1
Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical
Razer Deathadder
CM Storm Xornet

And that's pretty much it. These are the mice chosen by pro gamers, not by me as I defer to their conclusions. If it's not on here, I simply will not recommend it.

Some things to know:

-More expensive =/= better.

-As a general rule, don't use mouse driver software (except for the Deathadder).

-Laser mice are not good. Buy an optical mouse.

-Many mice can be overclocked, like the Intellimouse Optical 1.1.

-Just say no to wireless mice.

-Reviewers don't know anything about mice. Only listen to pro gamers.

-Higher DPI doesn't make anything better.

-Post if you have a question about mice!

I know this thread is for building an entire PC, but please could you recommend a good monitor? I've adjusted the form appropriately.

****Monitor Build Request Form****

Budget & Currency: <150 GBP

Games: Runescape, Minecraft, Team Fortress 2

Software: Photoshop, Sony Vegas, Google Chrome

Aesthetics: Not too fussy, but preferably black.

I'll be watching films/doing alot of editing. I currently use a 19" Polaroid TV with a VGA cable, so I'd like to stick around that screen dimension (maybe a little bigger) and switch to a HDMI input.

Many thanks, +REPPED

Haha, that's a new one!

Tried and true, very nice TN panel, good design, and extremely reliable. Shouldn't have ghosting or anything of the sort. Here's the listing on Newegg, it's extremely well-rated.

-BlaaZeD- wrote Its my sisters birthday in a week and shes going into uni this year, and i thought for her birthday i'd get her a laptop and shes been looking around and then i realised you guys recommend laptops aswell

>>>>LAPTOP RECOMMENDATION REQUEST FORM<<<<

Budget & Currency: 400-450 GBP

Screen Size: Nothing below 13

Software: MS Word,and itunes

Details:Thanks and its really just for typing notes and going online

Honestly I'm completely unfamiliar with UK pricing so this is not my forte. I'd say the Asus U56E-BAL7 for sure if you were in the US, but apparently the UK doesn't have it. The Sony Vaio SVE15114FXS is a solid choice.

You could upgrade to an 8GB dual channel kit if you want but it'll run you $40. There is no such thing as 5GB / 7GB kits, especially considering socket LGA 1155 requires a set of dual channel RAM at 1.5v or lower.
