Budget & Currency: $1000 USD

Peripherals & Monitor: A 20 monitor at least. I would ask for mice, keyboards, etc., but I dont know too much about them, so just whatever is good and cheap. About 65% of the time spent on this PC will be spent gaming, but it will be used for school projects, Word, etc.

Games: TES5:Skyrim, BF3 , TF2, and others, but BF3 will be the most demanding.

Software: Whatever might be used to game. Don't know of many.

Aesthetics: Just a standard case is fine, but if you can make it look cool, please do.

Rebates/Promos: Sure.

Details: Whatever I might need for gaming.

Thanks

TONS of rebates and promos let you get much higher-end hardware than you should for this budget. It surprised me, too! Really all you need to know is that this build is very well-balanced, you need to read the section in the topic about that RAM, the 7870 will handle all your games very well, and that the G400 is cheaper on Amazon.

This card's priced similarly and performs a good bit better:

Here's how it stacks up in Arma II.

Budget & Currency: $800 USD

Screen Size: 13-14 inches.

Software: Microsoft office.

Details: Main purpose is for college. I do play games none of them are really demanding though. This is the best deal I can find right now. ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )

Thinkpad T430 hands down. For college, for the life of me I can't think of a better laptop. It'll last forever and you won't feel the age on it as the years pass. Intel HD 4000 graphics are much better than 3000 and you can look up benchmarks for whatever games you play. Battery life is unparalleled as are build quality, upgrade-ability, durability, reliability, input quality, and design. There's a reason Thinkpads are my favorite laptops!

You can get them for quite a bit under regular retail by making an account here for the Barnes & Noble discount program:

After you log in, select the T430 on the site and customize it! This is how I would get mine:

To this I would add a Samsung 830 SSD and 8GB of RAM, which would total $130 when the SSD is on sale for $90. I got the workstation graphics option just because I can, really, there's no point in having it. It'll play games better, yes, but whether it's worth $50 is up to you. The reason I would add the SSD and RAM later is because they would be lower-quality and much more expensive from Lenovo. If you have any more questions, just tell me!

Reposting your request is not going to make anything happen any faster. If it's been over 24 hours, then please, give us a reminder, but until then all you're doing is making it easier to miss more requests. These take a lot of time, please understand that.

Keyboard or mouse? You need to specify and take this seriously. Make sure you've read the OP before you post.

I think I should add a line that asks when you'll be ordering, because there's a huge disparity between the number of requests and the number of builds I see happening.

I wouldn't recommend plugging anything at all into that PSU. Buy this instead:
