Anyway. How different do you want the games to be? It's a sequel not a brand new game, you can't expect devs to change every single thing about a game.
If you take the differences made from Halo: Reach and look at Halo 4, that's a lot.
When you mentioned the CoD series, that's because it literally was a C+P with new maps, there's no denying it.
Halo 4 is very different and I am willing to say that I think it is going to be the best game of the year.

I don't want the games to be different, it's a sequel. That's what I'm trying to tell you Halo fanboys about COD. And look at MW2 -> Black Ops. Dolphin diving, theater mode( I know a Halo fanboy is going to say "HALOZ BEN HAD DAT!" I'm not saying COD was the first to have it) wager matches, and that new emblem creator. But yea, some how it's a C+P.

Why should COD change their game drastically? It is the best selling game in the world (Besides Mario I think.) Halo is dying, so of course they have to do something to try and revive the series. COD doesn't have to fix what isn't broken.

And what else did you possibly want COD to change each year? If Halo came out every year I could guarantee you they wouldn't make much changes. Cod 2/3 to COD 4 was a huge change. And it came out like 2 months after Halo 3. Halo's only had 1 more (not counting ODST, and Halo wars) since Halo 3. COD had 3 more games when bungie put out reach.

If Halo 3 to Halo Reach was a big change, then so was MW2 to Black Ops. And if Halo 4 is a big change, then so is Black Ops 2. And Halo 4 probaly will be the game of the year, it's Halo.
