The only way people will figure it out if they get the money to and no one cares about it because us is in to much debt to try this so are other countries but im using the united states as an example

unwant3d wrote I like to think of it like the man from MIB 3, he see's every single outcome from every possibility and the reality is based upon other peoples' free will. He can see each of these possibilities, however choosing his own path is not possible as everyone intervenes with their free will... probably sounds like a load of nonsense haha!

I thought they did that movie incredibly well with the time travel. They thought of some of the tiniest details to put in and I applaude them for it. The ending kind of seemed rocky because of how the time traveling didn't change the present time much or get the one guy to talk more, but excellent movie over all.

True true, i dont want this to turn into a movie review though ;) i completely agree with you

Well think about it like this. 30 years back from today, today is 30 years ahead, but if they invented time travel 30 years ago, then they could come now since it is technically the present. So my point is that all of the future is basically just the present at a different time. Made you think didn't I. Welcome to the daily thoughts that manifest inside my head.

It's interesting to see people's reply - but the guy is right; for the wrong reasons. Travelling forward in time would essentially be travelling faster than the speed of light.

I "think" that forward time travel is impossible. There is no determined path/routes/and people we encounter.

timetravel happens all the time all around us.

You look in the mirror, your mind is seeing the past

When you see the sun, you see the past. Takes roughly 8 min for the sun rays to hit earth

When comets come around or hit earth, their from the past. Now to go to the future is saying you have to beat light

you have to beat existence, which i believe is to go the speed of a black whole

A black whole obviously is faster than light

-Deano wrote Not unless you think of it as a timeline. Everything that will ever happen has already happened.

So:

year 0 -------------------------------year 100000000
We're here^

Now if that is how it works, and we are merely travelling along this line, the change in the future has happened but we have not reached that part in time yet.

either way I don't think it is possible but I'm just putting this point out

If you subscribe to that point of view you re saying that everything is pre-determined which means that free will doesn't exist.

There are Parallel universes (Dark Matter) out there each has its own determined timeline different from another all of time is happening at once time does not travel in a line what will happen has already happened if that makes sense to you.

You are actually all wrong. Einstein proved forward time travel was possible with his work on discovering space-time. The closer you get to the speed of light the faster you will move through time relative to someone moving slower than you. He proved this when he put two atomic clocks that were matched to the test. He put one on a plane and one stayed on the ground. The one on the plane was ahead of the other one by the smallest fraction of a second. Also mass affects time so if you are around something more massive, time will move slower relative to a less amssive thing.

Not necisarily true (exscuse me at the moment just woke up) but the way i see it everything that will happen has already happen i dont think its predetermined i just believe that we have our choices yet things have already unfolded before us the change has happened we just cant see it
