Also I would tune up my truck with a reinforced frame and put a mounted Machine gun in the bed with a 50cal sniper and a bunch of shotguns

Heres a list and why I think they would be best

Truck- big, run things over, sleep, carry equipment in back

Sword/machete- infinite ammo technically, can cut multiple zombie heads off with ease

Handgun- not auto so don't waste bullets, light and portable, can hold many clips

Bow and Arrows- Very Lethal, retrievable arrows, long and close range

Mounted machine gun for back of truck- this wouldn't be legal until after the apocalypse but it would be a great addition for it.

i have to say i would be using 2 silenced 9mm pistols accurate easy to find ammo and parts
and in a real situation like that there would be cars with dead in them that would have gas but because of the terror roads would be completely blocked so get on a atv go to the woods and hunt for food and water avoid populated areas and survive

Probably an assault rifle, RPG and sidearm such as a pistol.
