Are you basically saying that the one place that you are in exists but another place doesn't exist? If someone is not seeing one place it is not in existence?

Yes, but don't forget that conscience and perception applies to all life.

"This proves that matter changes according to whether it is being perceived or not"
so... if a tree falls over and no ones around to perceive it... I'm CONFUSED!

Well right now I'm in my basement. If the rest of my house doesn't exist until I'm up there, then why do I hear my family talking and moving around up there? This theory isn't making much sense to me.

The double slit theory doesn't suggest matter is non existent when not perceived, but instead acts in its true nature. Which is completely random and chaotic. So although your dinner table might still be there, its state of being most likely is not what you are familiar with.
If that makes sense...

Am I confused or is it that this doesn't exsist and I think I'm confused about something that doesn't exsist?$

I would have to agree on this topic, nothing exists, yet everything has always existed.
I believe Paarthurnax in Skyrim said it best.

Perceiving includes hearing.
