gow1 is pretty cool i never owned it but i played it at my cousins house it was awesome..gears of war 2 is by far the worst one i played it like last week it looks to fake and everytime you jump over a barrier it lags..gears 3 was a hit for me as you can wall bounce faster than in gears 2 but the retro and sawed off has to go

Yeah i think gears is dying, everytime i play gears 3 online there is less people playing it everytime it doesnt go over 15k. Not just that but adding a sawed off and retro lancer was the worst thing they could do to this game.

I don't believe it's dead, I'm on it all the time. Only reason I ever thought of getting off is because the kids that decide to sawed off and retro lancer everything. Today for instance, I run Gnasher only and people don't bother trying they jump back and spray and pray with the retro lancer it's horrible. If that shit stopped I think the veteran gears will come back.

I gota disagree with you... Yes with out a doubt like ever gears game there were issues but I still feel that gears 3 was the best. I remember gears 2 as well. But honestly I went back and played gears 2 and compared to 3 its awful.

Gears 3 is better than 2 just because it's faster paced, number 2 was pretty slow and horribly laggy.

Gears is not dieing still better then cod and bf.

Personally, I would say that the game has surely been dying down. I'm hoping that Gears of War Judgement will be pretty big game and get a rather large fan base.
But here's my input..
Halo 4, BO2, and all of these other great games are coming out here pretty soon, so I think that will pretty much take a good chunk of the GoW3 population tbh.

I have been playing GoW 3 more now and I hate/like it. Im not going to lie to anyone GoW 3 is a good game its only bad cause people make it bad. In GoW 2 I would go wall bouncing and gnashering everyone never touch any pick ups or used the lancer, hammerburst, and grenade. It was just me and my shotgun. In the GoW 3 beta the retro and the sawed off were a good addition in the first week but they were too damn overpowered. My friends and I hoped that the retro and the sawed off would be pick up weapons then just default weapons. Thats when Gears must had a turn for the worst.

I agree i still feel that gow 3 was better than 2 maybe even 1.

I really can't say for sure that Gears is dying. Yes, it's been pretty low on online population lately, but oh well. Those of us who do stay in that small number are diehard, dedicated fans who would most likely not just let the franchise die. Unfortunately though, I saw a decent chunk of diehard Gears fans quit after Gears 3. It really does come down to GoWJ, I think it'll make or break the series
