I can't seem to choose between the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon and the Thinkpad T530. I want the sleekness and portability of the Carbon, but the components and performance of the T530.
Both are around the same price..I just don't know which one will suit me better.
The Carbon is a joke. The T530 is too big and bulky for day to day operations on the go.
Have you took a look at the 13'' MBA?
Also, if you haven't, take a look at the X230. Perfect form factor without sacrificing power or quality.
I don't think it's a joke, you can get it priced very well on occasion. I've seen the $1,500 model going for $1,000. But yes, look at the Air and X230. The X230 has an IPS display option.
IPS.
IPS.
It's not a traditional Thinkpad. Everything from build quality to upgrade-ability is gone. Also, the battery life is on par with a $500 Acer.
The X230 is the only Thinkpad worth looking at since it seems the most balanced and has a half decent panel regardless if the resolution is low.

I want a powerful laptop, high in performance, but also high in mobility, durability and versatility.
X230 or 13'' MBA are the only two laptops that come to mind that match all of your criteria.
X230 with mid range i5 CPU non ULV, IPS panel, 9 cell battery which will get you an easy 8 hours out of, and optional back-lighting. You get all of this in a 12.5'' form factor and without sacrificing traditional Thinkpad durability and ease of upgrading. Throw in an SSD ( something like a Crucial M4 ) and you'd be blazing in terms of performance.
Or a base 13'' MBA which is perfect except you're unable to upgrade it.

Hey R00t,
I should In a hour or so be ordering (If I don't, I'm jumping off a bridge...)
Yesterday The hard drive sold out and I was wondering if you have a good priced, Fast, New, and large hard drive I should buy for around $50?
I came across this 500Gb Seagate
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Its only $50 with a code.
Is that good or do you have a better one?
Thanks

If you want 500 GB, go with this one: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
The one you linked is a laptop drive. If you want 1TB, looks like it will be $80 until the next $50 drive deal.

Well r00t said to me, "There is no need for an aftermarket cooler. The one that comes with it is just fine" Well somewhere around those lines.

The numbers I'm seeing show that they're about equal. I'd get the Hyper 212 Evo because it's marginally cheaper and seems to be designed better.

FreeToPlayOnPC wrote Hey r00t, two things:
1) Is this a good case? [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
2) How much of a performance boost is there between the Radeon hd 7750 and the 7770?
Great case, great price. Personally I wouldn't get it because I hate the design and the inside is not painted, though.
