Andyy wrote If you're in it for the Apps go with iPhone.Android offers all the same apps. The amount of applications that are on iOS that are not on Android are diminishing more and more everyday due to those developers popularity. If you want to go that route, there are a bit of apps on Android that are not on iOS. Either way, you'll encounter the problem.

If you have seen my replies around the forum you would know I sell these things for a living.
Last week alone I returned 8 Galaxy S3's
5 Speaker faults
2 Refused to load past the boot screen
1 The screen was messed up (not damaged)
I returned 0 iPhones that were not insurance claims.
Since the iPhone 5 came out I have returned 1 which was faulty out of the box.
Galaxy S3's are going away every week.
Speed tests in the store and around the area proved the iPhone 5 to be quicker upon loading things.
Loading Angry Birds Star wars was a split second faster on the iPhone.
Yeah sure the Galaxy S3 has a couple of nice features but those were not enough for me to convert.
The Galaxy Note however could get me to convert next year with the Note 3, that is a beast of a phone/tablet.

It's really up to you.
If you're more into iOS go with iPhone 5.
If you're more into Android go with Samsung Galaxy S3.

This is pretty much what it comes down to now.
