Pretty sure the Map pass is just a way of paying for all the map packs in advance with a small discount. Map packs for Halo have usually been 800 each and they have mentioned 3 map packs due for a total of 2400msp. The idea of the Map pass is to pay for all 3 for 2000msp

the map pass is to get all the maps that will ever be created for halo 4, and you will get a discount. i recommend it

i agree but they could be like 900 700 500 an so on but we do have a new developer now and i think prices will be different.

He's saying "Hey how you doing" and also letting you know that the Map pack will be on sale for 800msp on the 10th which is tomorrow. He's also telling you that if you have the Map Pass which is included in the LE of Halo 4 then you don't need to pay the 800msp but instead just download the maps.
