Another unfortunate shocking tale. My deepest sympathy to all those affected, not just friends and family but to those children who witnessed it all. My prayers out to everyone, I hope they can recover from this atrocity.
It's despicable how people can rationalize this. It's terrible. I'm not just talking about this, I'm talking about every thing like this that has happened and will inevitability happen in the future. Plus the ones in 3rd world places we don't hear about. It's heartbreaking, as I said best wishes with family and friends.

Honestly the saddest thing I have ever lived through, Terrible how a man can look a child in the eyes and pull the trigger. Such a sad and twisted world we live in today.

It is a good thing he is dead.
Other psychotic creatures such as James Holmes get to walk and breath freely without having to pay for their actions. At least the families can know he didn't get away or that he is in jail with a lawyer defending him. We all know such things should be repaid with the Capital Punishment, but the law system defends these people using excuses such as mental impairments and other physiological classifications.
Those excuses are practically saying the murderer was just in doing so and what they did should go unpunished.
This is a very sad day indeed.
