I recently got into Anime at the beginning of summer.

Here are the things I found we have in common and my opinion on them:

Kanon (Loved it. Everything about it. I loved it!)

Accel World (Loved this one)

Btooom! (I am really liking it. In my top 3 for the fall season)

Chu-2 (AMAZING. In my top 3 for the fall season)

Little Busters! (I am liking it, it is funny and fun to watch)

Sakurasou (Love it, it is brilliant, no idea why I like it so much. This or Chu-2 is my favourite for the fall)

SAO (Loving it. Asuna > Suguha)

Shinsekai (Still have yet to watch the two new episodes. I like the story but hate the characters)

Kaibutsu-Kun (Awesome comedic romance.)

Angel Beats! (I cried. 10/10. Brilliant.)

Clannad and Clannad AS (Brilliant. The whole story and characters are brilliant. AS is in my top 3)

Death Note (Watched this all in 3 days, it was hard to stop. I did enjoy the first half a lot more though.)

Elfen Lied (Gory, full of action and romance, three things I really like. It was great.)

Highschool DxD (I really enjoyed this one. The fanservice was good and so was the story.)

HOTD (I like the whole zombie survival idea but the fanservice got ridiculous.)

Higurashi season 1 (Oh wow... This Anime. Crazy but awesome. I still have to watch the next season.)

Kiss x Sis (Didn't really like. I dropped the OVAs. I only continued watching to see what Keita would do.)

Kore wa Zombie (I really enjoyed this. The characters were awesome too. My second choice waifu comes from this show [Tomonori/Yuki Yoshida/Maelstrom].)

Mirai Nikki (Currently watching this and on episode 18. Loving it. I enjoy crazy chicks in Anime.)

Rosario + Vampire (Enjoyed this. I enjoyed seeing all the different mythical creatures. It was fun to watch.)

Sora No Otoshimono (Watched both seasons and the movie twice. Love it. My waifu comes from this series.)

Shuffle! (Damn Kaede she crazy! Loved this one but I am a sucker for good romance.)

TTGL (Have yet to finish this. Started a few months ago. I am not a big fan of mecha.)

AnoHana (Probably number one. WATCH THIS!)

I've been a bit sluggish watching lately, I find myself getting wrapped up in too much lately. I would type an essay of my favorite animes like waifu did above me, but am doing 3 last-minute projects at the moment. I just started watching this summer, so haven't gotten around to a lot of stuff that I'd like to yet.

In all honesty, I had no idea there was a friends feature on MAL. Probably because I mainly use the Taiga computer app to track my eps, and not too many of my IRL friends watch anime

I've noticed that convincing people to watch anime is quite tricky. The strange behaviors and stereotypes are just a bit tricky for some people to overlook. Especially the whole thing that we possess waifus and find 2D women incredibly adorable.

Well... That last part does apply for me, but I do hide it from friends. I showed a friend who is a casual Anime watcher Highschool DxD and he really liked it considering the huge amount of ecchi content.

I'm to the point where I don't hide it from my friends. From other non-friends, yeah of course I do. I have a couple friends watching like Angel Beats and Code Geass etc. Luckily for me, I'm on a team for developing a platformer game for the Ouya console, and my fellow workers are allowing me to make it in a bit of an anime style. Already called dibs on "Asuka" for the MC's name. Should get interesting.

You don't hide having a waifu from friends? I wish my friends would accept it, they sometimes bug me for watching Anime, but I've learned to just go along with it.
