Okay, so i've been seeing a lot of topics recently about the TOTS market crash and it seems that a lot of users are unaware of how much it will go down by, when it will crash and how to deal with it, so I made this topic to explain it in as much detail as I can!
When Is the market crash going to happen?
The market has been dropping since the start of FIFA 13 and after TOTY it rose a little. It has then since continued to drop, now dropping pretty dramatically as we approach TOTS.
The TOTS will be released throughout May, with no set starting date as of yet.
Why is the market going to crash?
The market crashes upon TOTS players getting released due to players selling their teams, in order to buy as many packs as possible and try to get a TOTS player. A lot of players also sell their teams before the TOTS (in March/April) to prevent losing too much money from the players' prices dropping. This adds to the number of players on the market, which makes the prices lower. The amounts of packs people open, also adds to the number of players on the market which increases the price drop!
How does it crash?
It crashes because of the large amounts of players selling players all at once, with less players buying than selling the player. This is when the supply exceeds demand, resulting in lower prices.
How much are TOTS players worth?
The TOTS Players are going to cost a lot of coins, depending on the player itself. The most expensive players could be up to around 2.5 million with some as cheap as a cheap in-form (around 10k-15k)
Will regular IF players go down in price?
Yes, they will go down just like any other player and possibly even more, if that IF has a TOTS card too, as players who had that IF will sell the card, in order to get an upgrade of the TOTS player! This will be even worse for SIF and TIF players, if you have any of them, sell them ASAP!
When is the best time to buy/sell your players, to reduce loss?
Now. The market is currently dropping and has been since the start of FIFA, to reduce losses as much as possible, sell your team ASAP! The longer you wait, the more money you will lose. The best time to buy back a team would be around June time, once TOTS players have finished.
How much will players go down by?
Nobody can be sure of how much they will go down to but these are my expectations: I expect a player like Hazard to end up to be around 50k in July. Someone like Messi or Ronaldo will probably drop to about 900k-1.1m and cheap players like Bent and any player between the price range of 2k-4k to end up about 1k!
How will the crash affect Bronze/Silver players?
The crash won't affect these players as much (it will still affect them a bit), except for some of the best silver players that have been performing well in real life. A regular silver player will most likely remain about the same price, maybe dropping a little bit but not to the same scale as gold players! If the silver player is in the TOTS (which could happen) they they are likely to drop a lot in price, so keep an eye on your favourite FIFA players in real life!
How many TOTS players are there going to be?
There is going to be a minimum of 1 full team of 16 players per league, including every league in the game from the heights of the BPL all the way down to the small leagues like the A-League and the K-League.
Can you recommend me some cheap teams to play with once i've sold my team?

What colour will the cards be?
We don't know yet as EA haven't released that information, so we will just have to wait and see As soon as we find out, i'll update it on here!
Will the prices of players rise after TOTS?
Yes, once TOTS is over the prices will rise as people will be buying their teams back, although they will not rise as high as they once were.
What date are the TOTS players released?
The TOTS will be released from Wednesday 8th April.

No. After TOTY, the players will remain around the same prices because of all the coins lost by people opening packs!
