Budget: 1100 USD, try to keep under 1000 if possible.

Peripherals & Monitor: I want a Razer mouse (palm grip)

Games: Guild Wars 2, CODs, Minecraft, FC3, Runescape. I want to be able to play listed games on medium-high graphics.

Software: Nothing too taxing.

Aesthetics: Whatever's going to make for an easier install. Your choice on looks.

Rebates/Promos: Total price is after all rebates.

Details: Also want a good keyboard, preferably on the quiet side, already have a monitor. Windows 7 please!

Went with an elegant look

Sony ODD: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Fractal Design Define R4: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Samsung Snipoint F3 1TB: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Sapphire 7950 3GB + 3 games: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

SeaSonic X Series 650W Gold Modular PSU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Corsair Vengeance Jet Black: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Asrock Z77 Extreme4: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Intel i5 3570k + Cooler Master CPU Cooler: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Razer Deathadder:

Total: 1028.91
Total after rebates: 1008.91

Starting off with the case, best case under $100 hands down with no doubt. Elegant looking, very well built for the price and noise dampening material and decent airflow. Case first look + unboxing below. The samsung snipoint F1 is a great HDD with decent speeds, the HD 7950 is the best value on a high end GPU (slightly better than 660 ti) and comes with 3 GREAT free games (Far Cry 3, Sleeping dogs and hitman absolution) with a total of $169 value just for the freebies. The Seasonic X series gold is an amazing PSU with great sleeving at an awesome price (89.99) and I would happily pay $140 for that unit. The Razer deathadder is not bad at all, but there is better for cheaper (Logitech G400) You should be fine with 8GB RAM since with BF3 (high ram usage game) it uses around 4.5GB - 5.5GB with around 15 background applications open. The asrock Z77 extreme4 is one of the best values under $150 and it makes no practical difference over motherboards that are under $200 such as Sabertooth Z77 (~$210) Included aftermarket CPU cooler for overclocking and found a combo deal with a better than average CPU cooler that easily competes with a water cooling unit such as H60 or H20 620..

Thanks a lot man! Ordered everything but the mouse.

That's a great build, enjoy it. Make sure you make the most out of that processor and overclock it!

Budget & Currency: ~$1000

Peripherals & Monitor: None!

Games: Mostly BF3, CoD, Source games (tf2, l4d2, etc etc.), Skyrim, Metro 2033, and other various games. Also, maybe some games coming out in the future.

Software: Sony vegas 12, photoshop, vlc media player, itunes, Steam... (nothing too out of the ordinary)

Aesthetics: A black case with blue LEDs would be awesome. But if the budget doesn't allow for something so fancy, or you don't find one like that, then i'll settle for a plain black case.

Rebates/Promos: Normally I don't do MIRs, however if the part you think i need has a MIR, then i'll use it. Any promo is a good promo

Details: Took me long enough to get everything together that I needed. Anywho, I really just want a high end gaming pc. Obviously I want to be playing the games on Ultra. I also do plenty of browsing, so a fast computer is a priority. I have a dual monitor setup going on now. I would like for the new pc to have a GPU with two VGA/DVI ports, and one (or two if you can find it) HDMI ports. As far as the budget is concerned, i'm pretty set on 1k but if you have to go over a hundred or so for something important (like a GPU, processor, PSU [not to say that all parts aren't important in their own special way]) then I will be able to afford it. But, if you want to go less than 1k, without hindering performance, then I won't hate you for it;) Oh, I do plan on overclocking whatever I can (gpu, processor, etc).

EDIT: If the budget can handle it, i'd like the radeon 7970. If not, then work around it if you can.

I don't mean to undersell this whole thing. Clearly this is a huge investment and i really want something I am going to enjoy (I don't doubt your abilities or anything.. ) But seriously, just do what you do best. I trust you'll hook me up.

When: Friday or Saturday

Simply take out the 7950 (you don't 7970 to max games by the way) and the mouse from the previous build.

And add this 7970: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

and the total should be: $1064 USD
after rebates: $1024

Take out the optical drive (You don't need that to install windows[check PM] nor to install games [games are downloaded])

Without ODD: 1045.92
Without ODD and after rebates: 1025.92

If you still think 1025.92 is too much, let me know and I'll try to downgrade something from the build above to make it under $1000.

Hey guys, was planning on ordering parts to build my own PC in the next 2 days or so, was looking for some help.
Budget: 600 GBP, will be adding to it after the new year so a good PC for 600GBP is all that is needed right now

Peripherals & Monitor: Need both, no spare monitors, keyboards, mouse etc

Games: Skyrim, Fallout, CODs, BF3

Software: None, have all I need already.

Aesthetics: Anything, a nice case wouldn't go amiss.

Rebates/Promos: Total price is after all rebates.

Details: A good responsive mouse, with not too many extra buttons would help, keyboard just needs to be standard. Most essential part is that it can run blender decently, as next block in college includes 3D animation with it.

Not much to go on by now, but over the next few weeks will be saving up to upgrade it more so just really looking for a starting point.
