The excuse of video games makes people go insane is a load of bull****.

If it really did, every 12 year old that existed would be nuts from playing CoD all the time.

Quote "Banned" They went far fetched in America maybe I was a few days late after that they were closing the claim Luckily however America has done stuff like this in the past. And that's not game wise

theUKGaming wrote It seems that the media loves to use video games as a scapegoat for every violent crime that happens within America. This trend continues with the recent shooting at the Sandy Hook Element School, as many news outlets have chosen to point at video games as being the catalyst for this type of behavior. Early on, the media jumped to Mass Effect has being the blame for this shooting as they accused the wrong person for this shooting. Now, US Senator Joe Manchin has decided to place the blame on the popular Grand Theft Auto franchise and insists that the upcoming GTA 5 be banned, which can be seen in the slide-show above this article..

Speaking with MSNBC on Dec. 19, Senator Manchin decides to jump on the media bandwagon and uses GTA 5 as the blame for this event.

View slideshow: GTA 5 Official Gameplay Screenshot Showcase
Manchin spent more of the interview putting the focus on violent video games and mental health issues.

Look at Grand Theft Auto, put out by Rockstar Games in New York City and see what it promotes, Manchin said, adding later: Shouldnt that be looked into and maybe be banned? (Via DailyKos)

This response comes as no surprise, as this trend has been appearing for some time in our media. Video games provide an easy scapegoat for these types of events and provide media outlets with a great headline to pull in viewers. Even though this trend continues, there have been no reliable scientific studies that show violent video games cause this type of behavior, but I guess our media decides to ignore this.

Keep in mind rumors are that Kids Will be in GTA V AS Trailer 2 Shows Them

If the game was to get banned, it would of already been stated as people have already
pre-ordered the game of websites like Game so they know they need a refund.

It isn't and shouldn't get banned!

Why blame a game? Seriously, stop using video games as excuses.
