I'm only thinking about getting it because 20$ off

And will it work with any parts?

That's the best deal on a 1TB SATA drive and the F3 is excellent. If you have a desktop PC that has SATA connectors, you can use it.

Okay, cool.

Also, I need a good motherboard for 50-65$ to go with this build.

Thanks

I can't view a wishlist when you link it like that. You'll have to link the parts, screenshot the cart, or save it as a public wishlist.

Nope, just screenshot it. You can use Snipping Tool and upload it to Imgur if you don't have something like iCap or Gyazo.

I prefer not to handle things off-site. Sorry.

This also has $30 off in promo codes. $20 off the hard drive, $10 off the APU. Putting a build like this in a windowed case looks very rookie and tacky. I'd recommend you take advantage of the small size and get a small case like the Core 1000.

Really? ): haha

I wanted a case that wasnt so boring lol.

But thanks for all this, i'm going to go with everything you linked me.

MUCH cheaper!

Would a different mid tower case work for this build though?

Sorry for butting in, but as long as the mid tower has the correct standoffs, then yes, it will fit, however it'd be quite stupid to use a micro ATX board in a mid tower case, as you get (in some cases) better performance in a larger motherboard, as well as making it a lot easier to use, more space for more ports, better heat dissipation and cable management - I would assume.

Not sure, however, what to recommend for an AMD build, as I'm not too familiar with that side yet - I am working on it though!

You don't have to physically build it yourself, if you don't want to. You should always order the parts on your own, but you can bring them to a local computer store and they should be able to build it for you. It would cost you a service charge (my dad had Microceter build his for $80). Building it yourself is relatively easy, you can watch the hundreds of tutorials on youtube, my personal favorites being the Newegg ones. Here:

Hi.
i currently have a AMD FX-6100 and was hoping to upgrade to the 8 core 8150 and I have a few questions.

Will I get better FPS?
Will it be much of a power difference?
Do I just remove current CPU and put that one in?
Anything special I have to do?

You're not going to be running any games on two monitors because of a huge bezel down the middle of your field of view, but for everything else you can just connect any compatible monitor and use it for more desktop space. It always looks much better when identical monitors are used.

First off, if you do decide to upgrade the CPU, you should go for one of the newer-generation AMD Piledriver CPUs. The [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is even cheaper than the 8150 and it's a fantastic CPU. If you want better performance in games, though, the CPU is not what you should be looking at upgrading. That's the graphics card.
