Neither this nor the discussion topic has anything to do with laptops.

r00t wrote Some of you may have noticed I've been unable to keep up with requests in recent days. I simply have not had the time with getting into college, school, helping others on this site, other interests of mine, and a social life. I'm also the only one left to contribute to the topic and regrettably I don't have enough confidence in anyone else to allow them to help. I intend to uphold my standards for this topic, whatever the circumstance.
Hoowever, I think it's time for a change and I'd like to know how you guys feel about an idea I have.
I propose that I post and keep updated parts lists for price points from $400 to $1,400 and 300 GBP to 900 GBP. I will post one at approximately every $200 and 150 GBP increment respectively. These will include options that can lower or raise the price, change certain features of the PC, or cater to certain usages. I will open (with my false sense of authority) this topic to all posts relevant to the lists and content of the topic.
More details:
You may have seen this done before, but I assure you this will be much better as it will be kept much more up-to-date and you can easily reach me.
Before ordering, I will ask that you post a screen capture of your cart for me to look over so I can point out ways for you to save money, errors, or suggest changes that will result in a better PC for you. I've avoided using pre-defined lists due to the lack of flexibility, but after months of doing builds in this topic, I'm confident this change will result in the same level of quality and flexibility, but it will be much easier for me and people who are not actually going to buy anything. I will no longer have to revise lists because people took too long to order or waste my time helping people for no reason.
I hope you understand why I'm doing this and that if I thought it would result in lower-quality recommendation, I wouldn't be changing anything. I will start working on these lists as soon as I get the time, but for now, I won't be fulfilling any requests for a week. I have deadlines rapidly approaching and other obligations that command my full attention.
If you have thoughts, suggestions, or complaints, please post them here or in the discussion topic if you prefer.
Are these lists going to be just American and British, or are you going to expand the list to include other countries as well?

Probably just those two. Canadian builds tend to be pretty similar, if not identical, to American ones and I rarely have to do them, so I don't see the point in doing those. The reason I haven't posted all the UK and US builds is because I've been busy and posting outside of the topic on other threads.
