Rushh4d wrote but im on a budget and i can get it for half as much as a i5 for just a little best gaming experience

Are you saying you want to spend less? I gave you a list for the budget you gave and I'm not aware of any way to improve upon it. If you want a cheaper CPU, the i3-3220 will perform better than AMD Bulldozer CPUs.

Listen to us and not those spastics who think Alienwares are good when they are so wrong. I have a friend and his dad bought him the Alienware M17X and it cost $1200 and I custom built mine for $500 and get better fps than him buy almost %25

You heard wrong. I could go into quite some depth, but the gist of it is that AMD is far behind Intel on many fronts right now. It's not the same fight anymore. You should have posted how much you actually want to spend in the topic, which is apparently not 850 dollars. How much do you REALLY want to spend?

AMD is more geared towards multi-threaded applications, not hardcore, uber gaming. And even if you are using heavily threaded applications, Intel still beats it.

At the end of the day, AMD is a smart student in some subjects, but Intel is first in his class in all subjects.
