It's defiantly fake. Try taking it to a local computer shop like PC World and show them what the problem is. This was probably D/L (downloaded) while downloading a file, while not having any 'anti-virus' or 'trojan' security.

You can download that sort of software free, e.g Google 'AVG' it's free and trustworthy.

You can't download anything on Safe Mode. You can't even access the internet.

I've had this, 100% Fake.

You can run the laptop in Safe mode with Networking until you figure out how to get it fixed, something about going back to a place where your computer saved everything then going from there.

I switched hard drives so I can't do it though, I am stuck in safe mode, haha.

Enter safe mode (with networking)

OR

Download the program on another laptop or PC and put it on a memory stick. Then install it on your affected PC and run it.

It's not legitimate, another user here had a similar problem.
You can simply run your computer in safe mode and move all files that you wish to keep to an external device such as a usb. After doing this you can simply restore your computer to factory default settings, completely wiping almost all data from the pc, thus removing this as well.

Common sense? I didn't know it was fake, I came on here to find out the real thing, so I did some research before I went on with anything, when I found out it was a virus, I restored his computer, it's not common sense.

Thats not legit, they just want money. I had something similar to this the other day. What you want to do is open up on Safe Mode and Networking, download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, get a free redeem code of the internet, do a full scan (could take about 20 minutes but its worth it) then reboot your computer and it should be fixed!
