To do this we would need to make cells go through a perfect splitting/duplicating process and to do so we would need to create telomerase which would stop the telomeres on the cell from growing shorter every time the cell splits. Well this is all fine and dandy until you come to the realization that it would cause cancer. As far as I know it would be the only way of achieving immortality/eternal youth as your cells would never age and stop splitting and would make a 100% accurate clone of the one it split from. Instead of a cell being able to split 50 times, it could split thousands even millions without ever losing the same exact appearance/health status etc. So, if we ever figure out how to get around the extreme tumors that would plague the body if we went through with this, it could potentially be the answer to eternal life.

I believe that they have something or that there is something out there that ables you to live for a very long period of time or even forever, that would be really crazy though.

A very smart person, Richard Feynman once said, "There is nothing in biology yet found that indicates the inevitability of death. This suggests to me that it is not at all inevitable and that it is only a matter of time before biologists discover what it is that is causing us the trouble and that this terrible universal disease or temporariness of the humans body will be cured."

While I do believe it is possible to live forever it will not be possible for a long time. In the book I'm reading, Physics of the Future it should be possible by the turn of the century. (2100)

Which is kind of sad because if you think about it we might be some of the last people on Earth to die of old age.

Assuming its released to the public.

If you lived forever, your body would get to the point where you could physically do nothing!

But think if the drugmade you completely healthy? No sore, weak bones or unhealthy slow organs ect. Everything was just perfect, loosing no brain cells or getting any kind of cancer! Imagine, you could smoke weed without being affected at all! (even though it isnt harmful in the first place )

I don't thin a drug would make it possible to live forever, unless, potentially, they could make an injection of nanobots that could repair everything that becomes wrong with your body. I doubt that could happen, but that seems like it would be the only way pill or injection wise. Another potential way would be to get surgeries all throughout your life. We have to learn how to repair the brain first though.

Even if this could be created, It wouldn't be released because the world would need more living space, food, and water.

We have already established that.

This isn't relevant because we would die, its to do with the part of the DNA and a part of a chromosome which controls age, the heart physically cant beat forever and if an asteroid hit earth we wouldn't survive that of a drug anyway.
