Ehhh, what do you expect? Gaming has moved towards COD for a while now. But hopefully halo can recover sometime in the future. But in my eyes halo 4 is good. It just didnt have me coming back...

I mean it is pretty pathetic for a direct sequel of the Halo series to have only 30,000 people playing it when it came out less than a year ago. (7 months to this day to be exact)

Game had a LOT of gun balancing issues which they now recently fixed after such a long time. :/

I love the game! Personally it's sad seeing halo reach still have 10,000-15,000 players online while halo 4 doesn't even have that much some days! The other day when the new update came out there was like 35,000 people on for Halo 4

343 bans a lot of people for no reason. I'v seen a lot of forums with a lot of people complaining about the way halo's ban hammer works. So my guess why not as many people play it is because there all banned.

You have to realize, If halo 2 was still playable online, more people would be playing Halo 2 than Halo 4. Im sure there are plenty of people on Halo 3 right now. and that game came out years ago. The game started to fade when Halo ODST came out.
Reach was a good game, but all of the special armor effects and new weapons and whatnot kind of ruined it for me. It was a great idea to change it up, but I would love to have Halo 2 and 3 come back

It still manages to get 6th on the Top Played Games on Xbox but yeah, the population can't sustain that much people.. if it's like Reach it'll be low for a while then as time goes on more people will be on it.
