Did he or didn't he? That is the question. Lil Wayne took to Twitter early this morning to say that he didn't step on the American flag on purpose while shooting his latest video, "God Bless Amerika," but not everyone is buying it.

If you take a look at some of the lyrics to the song Weezy was performing, it only adds fuel to the fire. Wayne raps, "My country 'tis of thee / sweet land of kill 'em all and let 'em die / God bless Amerika / This so godless Amerikathe stars on the flag are never shining."

If you watch the clip from "God Bless Amerika," you can see as Weezy maintains that the flag was set up behind Wayne and it dropped to the ground as it performs. Weezy keeps doing his thing and sometimes appears to look down at the flag below his feet, but it doesn't appear that he's maliciously stomping on Old Glory. Is possible he didn't even know that it's disrespectful for him to walk on the flag?

I am sharing this to those who have not heard about it, and because this type of thing really gets to me, especially from Lil Wayne.

He says it was an accident, but if you watch the video you can clearly see the gentleman drop the flag purposefully and not do anything about it. Maybe in the first few seconds I could see him not noticing, but then he proceeds to look down and walk all over it. He has eyes. He has the sense to tell if what he is stepping on is not dirt.

I was told while growing up that allowing a flag to even touch the ground is a defilement (though I don't know if that is true.) I don't think him stepping on the flag was on purpose, but I don't think he took the time to even care one way or the other. I mean, a lot of time could be wasted if he tried to avoid stepping on it every time. Most likely couldn't just stop. I do think he should have been more careful though.

Didn't look like he did it on purpose, but he didn't seem to care (Like Yin said)

"The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise."

Lil Wayne has zero intelligence whatsoever. With that being said this shouldn't even be considered "news."
