Call of Duty will never stand up to the amazing gameplay that Battlefield allows but so far all I have heard is that CoD is copying the destructible environments. If you really want to get technical about it, Battlefield isn't even the first game to have that kind of setup. Both Call of Duty and Battlefield are great games and they have their signature qualities but no game that is released these days has 100% Original content. They all draw their inspiration for the game form somewhere. I dare any one of you guys to try and create a concept for a new game that hasn't been done before. I've tried to pitch several ideas to Epic Games here in NC but none of them have gone through because they say it isn't Original enough.

They're not copying off another game. lol
They're making the game themselves, their own codes, their own graphics, their own gameplay, etc.

I have had it with a lot of FPS players. If you like one game play that one, don't bicker and say one copies the other or tell people not to play that one because of this or that.

If you like one game, play it, if the game is indeed better, than it will be bought frequently and thrive. If you don't like one game, don't play it and if the game is indeed worse it will not be bought as frequently as the other and will not thrive. That is just basic economics that some people simply don't understand and feel the need to point fingers at game developers with notheing to back their claim.

Or buy both and trade the worse one in.(which en masse hurts the developer, which seems like some of you want to happen)

I really don't believe they are copying each other. It boils down to them both looking at real life, taking what they want (some destruction for example), throwing out what they don't want (full destruction for example), and putting some of their own spins into the mix (perks or self repairing vehicles for example.) Both are war games, so I would think both would have added destruction at some point for a touch of realism.
