IMO Would of been better if the Germans did win and take over. Just my thoughts.

Axe wrote lets be honest, if we didn't help out, the Germans would've taken over.

I know that a lot of countries helped, but as soon as the states joined the war, we instantly started gaining ground.

Its not really that big of a deal IMO, atleast we all won the war.

How would the Germans have taken over? I don't want this to turn into an argument btw.

Apparently you did. You were calling out the other countries. What a smart thing to do...

Umm... Let's not forget about homosexuals, the mentally challenged, those who opposed the Nazi campaign or ran against the party in election, blacks, and pretty much anyone within the German country that the Nazis deemed as an embarrassment/disgrace (outside the country they particularily only took Jews).. They were sent away to camps, were either executed, starved to death, died from harsh conditions, the list goes on....

Every country helped that participated.
England = Battle of Britain
USA = Pacific
Canada = Vimy
Russia = Stalingard

Everyone ( Not russia, they were east) = Dday
Everyone = Battle of Berlin

And that's not saying much.
Everyone had Mutiple battles that they played a huge part in.

It's not even close to fair to say that one country won the war.

I read somewhere, Hitler before his power tried to ban blacks joining the Olympics but other countries stopped it, a black man went on to win 4 Gold medals and hitler had him assinated straight away, crazy

-Macklemore- wrote When America joined the ware, they were the dominate country, if were honest.

If i'm honest, you can't spell war.
The Americans were just more men, as was any other country, we all helped win the war.

I honestly don't like how you people that live in the UK, or other European countries are saying that America didn't do anything, didn't play a huge role in WWII or anything along those lines.

The US proved Japan's Admiral Yamamoto's remarks true following the attack on Pearl Harbor when he said, "I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.

It took until at least the middle of 1942 for the first planes and ships to roll off the production lines, but once they got started, it was a continuous process. Factories ran shifts around the clock and virtually the entire population supported the war effort in a way that had never been seen before and has not been seen since.

The US had been providing war materiel to Britain for some time, earning it the nickname of the the 'Arsenal of Democracy.' Once we got into the fight actively, we pulled out all the stops and converted fairly quickly from producing consumer goods to building tanks, artillery and mortar shells, and the aforementioned ships and planes.

We were quite blessed in that neither Japan nor Germany had developed weapons such as intercontinental ballistics missiles, and we had the Atlantic on one side and the Pacific on the other to prevent bombing raids, and the only American territory occupied were the islands of Kiska and Attu in the Aleutian chain, off the mainland of Alaska (most Alaskans have a high regard for national security because of this historic fact, and there were some people who just vanished after the Japanese occupation and were never heard from again, nor were their bodies recovered).

Of course, our troops in the Pacific felt that there was a score to be settled and a desire to avenge Pearl Harbor, and a situation such as that is, indeed, a great motivation (witness how many Americans wanted the head of Osama bin Laden following 9/11).

As for the European front, horror stories of life in Germany which were carried by refugees sort of grated on American sensibilities; Nazism flew in the face of our concepts of equal treatment (although we have episodes in our own history where this was a concept more breached than observed; witness the internment of Japanese Americans).

So, in sum, we provided both troops to fight a two-front war and provided weapons not merely to them, but to our allies as well.

So, basically. Without the US, Russia/UK would have fallen to Germany.
