The LE lacks heatsinks on its VRM and has a 4-pin CPU connector (instead of the vanilla's 8-pin). The LE isn't recommended for overclocking.

Yes, that was the only difference I could find between them which is weird because the LE is more expensive.

M5A97 R.20 & LE have a 4+2 power phase, with the latter having no heatsink on the VRM section. The EVO has a 6+2+2 phase system.

The R2.0 has direct key, USB BIOS flashback, Remote GO, Network iControl and MemOk! while the LE doesn't.

The EVO has all that plus front USB 3.0, DTS Sound support, eSATA 6.0Gb/s & IEEE 1394 (Firewire400).

I think I'll get the EVO then. It's about 15 pounds more but worth it for the features.

Unless you know of a better 75 pound board?

Someone will probably chime in with something other than that, but i'm an ASUS fan so i'd say get the EVO.

I'm not sure about the quality of AsRock boards as i've never used one, but i'd still say ASUS.

The chipset isn't going to make much of a difference unless you plan on a multi-GPU setup.
