Something had to happen last night. Both me and my friend's character were deleted overnight. Just saw that like 3 other people had same exact problem overnight. I would love to know what's happening.

My character wasnt deleted, but all my progress I made last night was reset. I bought a condo and nice cars aswell but they saved and my rank didnt. I'm really confused as to how that worked but im happy I didnt lose my condo and cars.

Yeah, you're lucky, man.... I have to completely redo the tutorial and everything.

You need to wait a little bit before investing so much time into GTA Online. More than likely, there's going to be an update, because it's basically unplayable at the moment. I'm assuming it's so bad because EVERYONE was making accounts at the same time. I haven't spent too much time on it at all though, so I don't know.

To all people losing stuff... You're character isn't SAVING. When you are done playing use the character wheel to select Franklin, Trevor, or Micheal and then it should save if ,you switch to one of them. Wait for the single player to load then ur done.

You didn't save your game that why

I was playing with 3 of my friends yesterday, then we all got off at the same time... Im the only one who lost my character

I save properly every time. I clicked "start" > "leave GTA session". Then waited for it to load single player. I always save it properly.
