Cut wroteDine wrote I recommend buying the Elgato not the Hauppauge HDPVR.
What's better about the elgato?
Smaller, Easier to take to friends if you want, It depends on Which HD PVR your talking about but it accepts HDMI, The program that comes with the elgato has an easy streaming option, in my oppinion its just better for traveling and taking to friends and such I hate having to move my pvr because I have the original and it takes forever to unplug all of the cords and stuff and it breaks really easy.

depends on whether you plan to stream.
if streaming, get the HDPVR as there is no delay so easy stream set-up.
if only recording for youtube, elgato definitely.

JoshGadd wrote depends on whether you plan to stream.I dont see the point in me streaming, I dont feel like I have anything new too offer to get the viewers in when streaming, however it is different with youtube videos.

I can snipe & reg gun so hopefully that will cover all audiences, suppose we will have to wait and see.

I would go with the HD PVR,only because your buying it off your mate(i expect a lower price).I would test it before buying it because something might be wrong with it:)
