To sum it up from above.

DDR5 memory idiots posting everywhere.

Sean pointing out the PS4 can't even read a CD or stream a mp3

1. its GDDR5 not ddr5
2. We aren't memory idiots we are just dishing out the facts
3. Who the **** uses cd's nowadays?
4. I have an ipod dock which also has CD reading capabilities
5. Why stream an mp3 when you can use Sony's free massive library of mp3s

1. No, it's ddr5.
2. The facts are that your smattering of GDDR5 ram is poor, the xbox's esram is far superior..Fact
3. Ignorance
4. Why spend extra on a dock
5. which will be redundant as the PS4 doesn't have a MP3 codec...

oh god. oh my days. no it doesn't have GDDR5 memory. It uses DDR3 mate. It uses 32mb of addition memory to feed to the graphics. The ddr3 is doing a marathon just to keep up to speed with the demands of the operating system let alone the games. PS: only 5GB ram dedicated to games.
You're a **** spastic. It has some DDR5 memory modules for graphics, and ESRAM for everything else.

This is far, far superior to the DDR5 ram that the PS4 will use as system memory, and this isn't even optimised yet.
xbox only uses 5gb ram dedicated to games.
xbox only has 12 cores compared to the 18 on the ps4
xbox has a slightly older and less powerful gpu
xbox requires $60 a year gold just to record gameplay
xbox requires you to pay for Netflix
Xbox is $100 more expensive
xbox has an un-detachable HDD
xbox cant run 1080p for a game as graphically shit as COD
xbox has to run upscaled 1080p instead of native 1080p which isn't a missive difference but it is still a difference.

argument invalid

You're such a retard, utte retard. It runs forza 5, possibly the most graphically intensive game ever at 60fps/1080p? Argument invalid.

Have you finally accepted that you know nothing of hardware, good?

The extra subscriptions are fine, you get some nice benefits. As does PS+. When you think about it, aside from games the consoles are always close, however the pure massive amount of integration with the xbox is incredible, and the cloud azure servers really trance all over the PS4 computing power anyway.

If you wish to discuss these specifications any more, it'd rather do it through PM, it will take me longer to type.

TTG_MoDzZ_HD wrote PS4, Xbox/microsoft are so strict on banning etc.

I'm not being funny to modders out there but strict banning makes a console better for those legit gamers who just want a fair game; no modded stats; no modded leaderboreds and no short cuts to high levels and whatever.

I dont know whether the ps4 has a simalar thing but xbox takes the rating system of the 360 and makes it so you join games with people with the same rating as you- so the more sporting you are during games your more likely you are to be put into a game with people like you- if you team kill all the time, you'll get put in a lobby where all the players team kill all the time

I Really dont want to get dragged into this arguement but when you start talking about price, yes the xbox is 100 more expensive but it does come with the far superior kinect included- whereas the psmove isn't inclued in the price plus the move is tbh a wii with a ball on the end...

you do but admit this. Xbox does care too much about money. im enjoying this debate as im getting both consoles and im not a fanboy. I just cant see people's logic on how those money grabbing, couldn't care less about the customer twats which are Microsoft have apparently created a good next-gen console. its not acceptable for a new console to not hit 1080p especially for the $100 extra you have to pay for the xbox. it does seem like your getting less for your money. Why do they make everything behind a paywall. Even the bloody internet explorer requires you to have a gold subscription! The fact they make you pay for the Kinect aswell also boils my blood. You are right, the difference between the consoles are slim. However on launch you must admit the ps4 will be superior. I believe by the time this "cloud computing" shit comes out for the xbox then the gameplay will be fantastic on the xbox one. however this doesn't enhance the graphics at all which some people are saying and you seem to be the only one not pulling make up facts out your arse and would also agree with me on this? to me its just a console and I only got involved in this debate because of people just pulling facts from the lands of azaroth.

The kinect is 50% of the development cost. Without kinect, it would cost less than 300. Microsoft are trying to innovate for once, and they're not scared about it.

Rendering is purely calculations, encase you didn't know. So yes, cloud computing can and will help, even if at first it only carries out more processes-entwined operations such as AI.

Sony are charging 80 for just the console. You get the kinect with the XBone

but what im saying is that Microsoft don't appreciate that not everyone wants the Kinect. yes they have made it so you can disconnect it but whats the point in paying that additional money for something youre just going to put in the drawer. And its odd how xbox needs this additional cloud support just so they can make their games look nicer than before. I believe the graphical improvements that the cloud allows is to try and make up for the lack off power in the physical components.
