Gold is a feature that either you pay for yourself or get gifted.
Now let me get this straight.
I dont mind gifting gold idea, i think its great but when people get it for no reason whats so ever it annoys me. They can post a topic saying "lookin 4 goldz" and suddenly a person going for gold gifter badge comes out of nowhere and gifts them gold.
If youre going to put money towards someone dont you want to do it for a reason? Its one thing if theyre a great member or theyre your buddy. But to give someone 6$ for no reason is a bit mind boggling. I know its their money but im pretty sure youre wasting 6$ on a person who didnt even do anything, its like me showing up at McDonalds, flipping a burger then getting 13$, its kind of pointless in my eyes.

I agree, gold gifter's who post "Guess between 1-1000 to win gold" are down right selfish. All they want is the badge, nothing more. The badge is okay, but many of the people who deserve gold don't even bother posting in these giveaways. I totally agree with you.

I think your forgetting people can do what they want with their money.. No one can tell them what they can and can't do, I can see what you mean but it's entirely up to them.

people gift gold for the badge not just to help the community, bad I know. I gifted people I truly thought deserve it.

There has already been comments like the one I will post now but it is the users money who wishes to give gold, we cant simply say, "Hey, screw that guy he doesnt deserve it". The people who do the giveaways make up a simple game or ask why they deserve it and thats great. I have gifted people only who I see around alot and are deserving of it but as I stated above, its that gold gifters money and they have the right to spend as they please.

I think people are missing the point the OP is making.
He's not saying people can't do what they want with their own money, he's saying that when someone is gifted who might not deserve it as much as someone else, it's stupid, and a waste of that money.
I agree, but like the post above me has said, nobody can label someone as undeserving, but you can label someone as less deserving.
If you have a member with 7000+ Posts, a 5:1 Useful/Unuseful post ratio, and 800+ Thanks on their topics, it's obvious that they deserve gold more than the guy who joined yesterday looking for a modded lobby on a game who just wants it to 'try it out and change my name lel.'
Sometimes these differences are overlooked, and they really shouldn't be.
